I'm quite suprised by this thread! I'm a long time member on another forum and to say the least its alot worse than this. I love it but it does get very heated and there really is no such thing as being banned. I come on here for a break from there because I think you lot are all so nice! :) |
I have also been a little uneasy about posting here lately too, I have been lurking around and reading but not posting as much, The last thing I want to do is cause someone feelings to get hurt or a thread to become heated, we all have our opions and sometimes we write before we think it out. |
I think people come here for friendship and an understanding of the breed. It's not right to judge anyone, because you don't like their post or it might have been asked 100 times before. It's the first time for them. We're all adult enough to know when we're answering in a constructive manner rather then a destructive manner. I wouldn't make a good moderator because I'd be banning everyone that was mean, and I would feel I was doing it for the good of the forum. I personally think if people were banned for a week it would make them think before they posted again. If you don't have something to say in a nice way, say nothing at all. |
After talking with MANY YT'ers in private, whether in here, on the phone, msn, what have you, most everyone agrees...It's the tones being used. Some think they are SO smart and they also think its okay to talk condescending to people. The good news is, after sitting back for 2 days and just watching posts, tones, and observing a lot Its 99% of the time the same people. SO to avoid conflict and anger just as soon as I see their names i just click out and go on to the next topic. They will never stop or change. I have been lured into many topics and made VERY upset many times by these same people. I couldnt resist and felt I had to say something. Well not anymore.... I'm in control (in my best Janet Jackson voice) and so it goes..... |
I believe it is ok to disagree. It's all in the way you say (or type) things. When people disagree we get to hear both sides and that is good. People come here for information, friendship and entertainment, not abuse. It goes too far when people start getting angry. I have seen some very rude posts. I like to go back and look at the posts the person made before about different subjects. There are a few posters on here that just try to stir up trouble, or love to preach to others. That is life. There will always be that one person who has no tact or who has a chip on their shoulder. I think the best thing to do is ignore rude posts like I can't see them. Im sure that is more frustrating than actually getting a rise out of me. Next time you see a rude comment, just skip over it. If we all did that...they would stop. I want to add that I have met some very nice people on YT as well. Helpful people who care. |

As several people have mentioned on this thread, there seems to be a small group who are consistently nasty and rude. Whatever their reasons, I just wish they would go away or learn to say it the right way. And they always post! PS pepemint, Love ya, |
