| Send me some positive vibes! Hubby is having a biopsy on his thyroid on Monday. First the Dr felt something in his neck, then he had an ultrasound, then they ordered a cat scan, now they want a biopsy. I haven't mentioned it before because I kept thinking after each test that they would say,"oh it's nothing." Now Im getting scared. I almost bought a new baby last week, but decided to wait until the results are back. Please cross your fingers, send us positive energy, pray, or whatever you do for good results next week!

| I am sorry to hear this, but I am sure it will be okay. I am going thru the exact same thing. In fact, I just went for another scan on last Monday. I have had numerous thyroid scans, 3 nuclear scans and 1 CT scan. (aurgh) It gets a little old after awhile. Please keep us posted!

| a liitle long... but hope it helps ya! Positive Vibes???........ here ya go!!! For 2 years I took thyroid meds for hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto disease. Then after an ultrasound a small nodule was found on the right side. Because it was on the back side of my thyroid, and was very difficult to biopsy, they decided to remove that side of my thyroid. I was sooooo very nervous and scared. Before I even had the surgery, my "Endo" told me that only about 2-3% of the nodules on a thyroid are malignant and after they are removed, only 2-3% have any more issues..... that is 2-3% of the 2-3%!!! In other words........ if it was something cancerous in there, I had a really good chance of it being completely gone after surgery,,,, and not to return. I had the surgery, and the nodule was not cancerous. I still have to take thyroid meds... but I need them. Occasionally I notice that my remaining thyroid feels a little "swollen" but that is because sometimes my body don't need as much medicine that I am taking and then I have to change dosages (via my doctor). It is hard getting my meds regulated.... and at my age, there are changes with my body chemistry DAILY.... but I am doing fine, working daily (hard work!!!), getting extra sleep when I can ( some days I get a little worn down), and VERY happy that I can enjoy everyday to the fullest!!! There ya go...... sorry so long...... but hope that it helps!!!
