| What kind of Digital Camera do you have? I'm looking into getting a new Digital Camera.. Although i'd personally like to get a Canon Digital Rebel I can't afford it.. lol.. But I do want to get a new one.. Right now I have a Sony Cybershot 3.2 megapixel.. but my dad wants it, so i thought i'd give it to him and get a new one.. I didn't really like that camera as much.. and i love how some of the people who post pictures on here, i love the quality! so what kind of digital camera do you own, or do you recommend? |

| Oh girl I'm a camera snob. You just asked a question in an area where I consider myself an expert (compared to most, of course) LOL. First, I need to know how much you're willing to spend, maximum value...

| I've seen a lot of deals lately on the digital rebel. I'm a Canon lover and suggest you to go with a Canon, of course. My sister just purchased one of the new Canon S2 IS cameras at Circuit City for under $500. It has a terrific zoom and uses SD cards for the media. I did a good bit of research before recommending that camera for her. She wanted something to take on vacation but also wanted to have zoom capabilities. The other camera that I liked was the Canon SD400 (which is 7.1 MP, I think) or the more expensive SD500. Onecall.com and bhphoto.com are both reputable online camera dealers. My sister purchased from CC because of the ability to bring it directly back to the store if there was a problem (which there hasn't been one). I'm seriously considering getting an S2 myself so that I can leave all my bulking pro camera equipment home while on vacation. My pro stuff takes up an entire backpack and is a pain when flying.

| If money were no option, I'd tell you to get the Canon 20D! It is an awesome camera and the highest level consumer/pro camera you can get. I know that isn't within your range though.

| Do you prefer a larger, more professional type camera or a small one you can fit in your purse? If you want a larger one, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the Nikon Coolpix 8700 - That's the one I use for my photography business. Also, the Fuji Finepix S5100 or S7000 - they are great too. My uncle is also a photographer and he loves his S7000! (Click here) Ok, so if you're looking for a smaller camera - this one still does audio and video...and actually i'm looking to buy it also so I can tote a camera around wiht me everywhere (when I can afford it, that is).... ANYTHING Canon!!!! I recommend: (this one or any similar model. You can always trust Canon!) http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/con...&modelid=11158 And this one is made by Sony, and I'd never recommend any Sony but this one b/c it won a lot of awards last year: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/w1.html I bought my last digital camera for a killer deal of a price on www.buydig.com

| We've got several, but the one getting the most use now is the Canon SD300 (the older model, newer ones are the SD400 and the slightly bigger SD500) 4 megapixel camera. It's very small, lightweight, and can take pictures really fast from the time you turn it on. You can also take several pictures simultaneously at the highest resolution, which is great for Yorkie action shots. This is of course not a professional camera, but it'll do well for pictures as large as 8 by 10 from our personal experience. |

| I have a Canon SD100 my sis has the cuter smaller more updated version the SD200. my hubbie paid $300 a few years ago as a velentine's day present. My sis bought her's last summer for $280.00. I'm sure you can find them for less now.. my photo album is located on my signature so you can view the pic quality if you want. I love it, the only thing this camera does not do well is far zooming with the flash on, It becomes dark for some reason, and also , when turning the flash off you have to hold the camera wicked still or the pics looks distorted. Other than that no copmplaints, its compact, affordale, a CANON, and cute... happy shopping Deyna = ) -toni
