| I was a Director with Pampered Chef for 5 1/2 yrs. I had quite a big downline as well. I can pretty much tell you anything you want to know about the company. Not all of the products have a lifetime guarantee. Just some of them. All of the products have atleast a 1 yr. guarantee. When I started selling PC, I also did it for something to do. The reason you have to do those first 4 parties is so you can keep your kit. There are many people that sign up, get the kit and never do one party. Now, PC never makes them send it back, but it happens. They want you to do parties, that's how they make their income. It was fun for me in the beginning. Then I started recruiting. And let me tell you, recruiting is where it's at with any of these businesses. Because then, you start earning an income off your downline. But that's also where it gets hard because you are responsible for them and have to be there for them. The downfalls for me were that it just flat out got hard. Hard to book parties, hard to sell, hard to recruit. How many stones can one person possibly need? I had a large customer base, but they pretty much got to the point that they had everything that they wanted or needed. And then, they got really mad when PC would re-vamp a product (which they do constantly) and they already had the old one. And yes, they also got to the point that they were like... oh man... not another party. After I quit PC, I decided that I was never going to do that type of business again. I was completely burnt out. It was so much WORK! It wasn't fun anymore. They are really big on attending every function and every meeting that PC has to offer. They really stress you out with that and make you feel bad if you can't attend. In May, a girl told me that she started her own spa business. I started using the products, fell in love with them and joined myself. Only to buy the products at a discount for myself though. It has turned out to be SUCH a big hit. Everyone loves for me to come over and give them and their friends a spa. It's not a party, we never even use that word. You literally are going to a spa. This is not work, this is fun! I don't have the paperwork that I did with PC. I recruited 5 people in my first month just telling them about it. The main reason people join is because you don't have to sell a thing! You can join just for yourself. Also, the startup is very cheap. This month it's $99 for over $550 worth of treatments. You don't have to keep an inventory. Also, with PC, you get one paycheck a month from them. You keep a separate checking account. Put all the money you collect from the parties and send it all to PC. They will then cut you a check for your commissions once a month. Which is only 20%. With Beauti Control, the company I joined, you get a 50% commission and you get paid the instant you sell a product. So, I just wanted to let you know that there are definitely pros and cons to any business. If you're interested in this type of thing, I highly suggest going to www.wahm.com and checking out all the businesses there. If you have any questions, let me know!

| How long ago was it that you did PC? From what the lady is telling me now, they have changed from the way it used to be. The commission is higher than you stated, you don't have to have any parties, but you do earn benefits off having parties. A lady at my work her friend used to sell PC and she was telling me that she had to have an annual amount comng in, in order to sell, but its not like that anymore. You get paid 2 times a month now for commission. So maybe they have changed since you did it. I am waiting to get all my paperwork in the mail to read all the fine print. Thanks for your input though! ANd I am glad that spa thing is working out for you! |

| It's been 4 yrs. since I sold. And yes, it has changed. I remember now that right when I was getting out, the pay was changed. And as far as I know, you DO have to submit $200 in orders every other month to remain active. If you go inactive, any recruits that you have gotten are lost. Your status is lost too. About the only way to get those orders is to do a party or a catalog show.
