Bangs

You knoe that i donated my hair to "Locks of Love" i just did my hair w/ the side bangs & layers all over here's a few pix of it below:

I think I was born with bangs...I don't ever remember not having them! My hair is curly so I wear it layered with bangs in the front...most of it feathers back but I curl some under towards my eyebrows. If you decide to get bangs be sure to have your stylist texturize them so you get a little lift...otherwise they'll just lay flat on your forehead.

Well THANK you very much. The first pic is about 18 months old and the other is more recent. We wont tell anyone that I will be 55 this year.

Personally for me... I hate bangs... Kay (my hair lady) knows that even if I request them.... I dont get them. I could come there in a moment of severe PMS and say give me bangs.... and she knows to say ok... and not do it

I really get a feeling every now and then that I want bangs but Know that as much as I like to pull my hair back that bangs would not work for me.


Cant wait to see what you decide!!!! A lot of my friends have the side bangs but it blends in so much with their hair, I dont even consider them bangs.

And just have to add this side note but as I type the word bangs its cracking me up... bang, fang, gang.... its been a long nite...

I wish I had something to add to this...I've also contemplated having bangs again...But then I talk myself out of it. I haven't had bangs in 9 yrs...I like how it looks on some people, but then I think about what if I don't like how it looks on me, or I get tired of them...

I've only "not" had bangs once in my life. I tried growing the hair out but I just didn't like it.

i say do it!! i am a hairstylist.. and there are 2 things that are super hot right now(lots of people are requesting this.. EITHER BANGS(whether shorter side bangs or a longer full fringe bang.. and also the "victoria beckham cut"-so many people are going shorter and doing some version of this(at least my clientele and the people in my area)

i think you should get bangs (it adds something to longer hair, when you dont want to cut it-but want something a little different!!) Maybe you can do a similar version of the "reese witherspoon bang" and that way you can wear them a little to the side(but not necessarily as a side bang). ALSO make sure the person knows what they are doing and DEF. BRING A PICTURE!! it'll be cute!! <3

(a good thing to do also.. if you see a picture of a hair color, cut, etc. you like in a magazine or something-cover up the face of the person and see if you STILL like the hair pictured(sometimes you look at it ALOT differently!!)

A bit off topic.. But I have to ask!

I wonder if you have any for a gal who is seriously highlighted blong but naturally med to dark brown... I am really done with the going in every 4 to 5 weeks for touch ups... my hair is suffering! lol Can I grow it out without the 80's roots look??? And without the dye job that will never match my natural color that will fade like crazy??


And I too am thinking about bangs... but it has taken me FOREVER to grow out my hair! ugh... how to decide...

--i, myself, do this-and also have MANY clients who come in for this as well.. they come in and get their color done(highlights, the works) and then come back in about 4weeks or so and get a base done(color only-no bleach).. its not as light as your highlights are but it softens the regrowth(natural hair color/roots) and blends it so its MUCH MUCH soffter and that buys you another few weeks as well.. so basically if you normally were going in every 5 weeks or so for highlights you can break it up with this and now go probably 8-10 weeks(i would have to see your hair, color, etc. to really tell you but it definately buys you some time-this is much more inexpensive than highlights and takes about a half an hour with a blowdry. SO NICE. (i will look and see if i can find some pictures of my hair with both.. to give you an example.)
