| Help Boxer owners!! or anyone for that matter My boyfriend's boxer has hives..at least that's what the vet called them.. anyways...they started slowing showing up almost 2 weeks ago(tuesday) with just a few bumps..then by thursday they were all over so we took him to the vet.. they said to just give him benadryl (sp) and they should be gone within a week..welllllll it's saturday and i think they have just gotten worse.. has anyone ever seen anything that looks like this???

| it looks like an allergic reaction to something. i googled boxer hives and lots of stuff popped up. most people went to their vet and the vet gave them cortizon or steroid shots.

| yeah they gave him two shots. i just have never seen hives on a dog before

| First of all, I am no vet, but that sure doesn't look like hives to me. I used to raise and breed Boxers, but never saw anything like this. I'd take him to another vet and get a second opinion. Also, I'd keep the dog away from any other pets, just in case it's contagious. Good luck and keep us posted. |

| My friend had a dog that use to get them and they had to put her on pretesone(sp).
