| I feel for you. One of my boys played football way back when and I think I held my breath during every game. He never got hurt, though. Stay positive and try to enjoy the game. I'll bet you're soooo proud of him!!

YT 2000 Club Member | I do not have that problem with my 4 boy's yet, they like track so I don't get worried about them getting knocked around! My second son, Kennedy, has voiced his wanting to get into Football, he was late signing up for this year but he will sign up for 8th grade. I am secretly hoping he looses interest and goes out for golf instead I hope Tanner does well in his game! |

| Lol I know how you feel. I had two in football and baseball. One of my son's was always center and stayed beat up, then he was moved in HS and I just know I would have been the crazy mama on the field if he was ever down. Now, he is 11th grade and a male cheerleader....he comes home more beat up from the girls elbows or knees coming down on his face during stunt practice. It's strange all the years I have sat and watched him play football now he is cheering! I do think our cheer team looks great this year though, it's the first time we have had male cheerleaders. They are trying to get to the compition level. Your son will be fine. He is playing a lot of positions, must be good! Angie |

| Mom calm down, or you're going to make him nervous. He'll be just fine. My grandson's devestated, because he got cut from the team.

| Neither of my boys played sports, but my oldest one was a big theater fan. He was the evil priest in The Hunchback of Notre Dame his senior year. He had to "fight" on stage and fall off of a platform that was several feet high. They had a lot of safety features in place, but he would still come home from rehearsals with big bruises. It terrified me! I went to every single performance, but had to close my eyes during that scene and pray every single time. He also had to shave his head for that role, but that's another story. lol (Try accepting a scholarship from a group of WWII veterans looking like a skinhead! )

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Hahaha...my son was the band geek (oh don't let him hear me say that one!). But they practiced right along side of those big, burly football players, attended every game rain, shine, snow storms, etc. He played for a big-time private school here in the city and the school has won many titles including national titles so football season lasted until way past Thanksgiving around here. Don't worry - take a deep breath and cheer him on and take a zillion pics with that great camera of yours. (off topic a little but yay!! I got my Canon Rebel XT yesterday and now I have to figure the darn thing out).

| Can't wait to hear how he did!! My nephew is the kicker and last night they put him in at safety, wide receiver, and running back. I was a nervous wreck. His best sport is soccer and he will be getting a scholarship, so we don't want him getting hurt in football. With Tannar playing all those positions, he won't have time to be nervous! I'm sure you'll be nervous enough for everyone!!! Where are you girl, get on MSN!!!

| I too am one of those nervous Mommy's. My little boy played today. I was so nervous that I forgot to take pictures....I only took one picture. But I did get a FUNNY picture of our Yorkie, Buddy. He climbed into my sons pads and jersey when I was trying to get my son dressed it was so funny. I hope Tanner's team wins tomorrow ....keep us posted.
