Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) OMG! This is horrible for the young Gabriella fans out there :( She brought this upon herself by taking that picture in the first place, so I really don't feel bad for her, but it is bad for the kids that she's supposed to be a role model for. http://perezhilton.com/?p=5140 - this has a censored version of the pic at the top of the page, but if you scroll down it's uncensored so don't scroll down too far with the kiddos around!!! http://www.tmz.com/ - her statement confirming that the pic is real :thumbdown |

YIKES!!!!! THis is why you dont take naked pics! You cant trust anyone!!! |
She is 18 now, I wonder if she was 18 when the pic was taken? If not doesn't that make it child porn? |
IMO, it's all to funny!! Obviously she wanted to get away from Disney. And that she did! Within hours, she's been fired and replaced in HSM3. Disney wastes no time. |
I saw that pic and although ppl said it was fake it looked real to me and the fact that it was said she took it for her bf Zac Efron, i believed it cause i know how girls can be in their first relationships, etc. Omg but how embarrasing! When you're famous you can't do anything without ppl finding out! Everything gets leaked, pictures get stolen, your personal info, yikes! |
She should of known. Even if you trust the person taking the picture, you never know if you are going to make them mad in the future and there ya go...instant blackmail. |

Yep. Disney definitely doesn't waste any time. Just like when that comment was made about Keith Richards "snorting his Dad's ashes" they removed him from all the commercials pretty much immediately & didn't let him do any promo stuff for Pirates 3. |
that's really sad.. i really liked her too! what kind of role model takes nude photos!! i loved her in HSM and HSM2 .. i never thought she'd be the type of girl to degrade herself like that.. |
My daughter is going to be devastated. I don't agree with firing her. We all make mistakes and this was something that was done privately not in public. Someone else made it public. Not sure how I'm going to handle this one with my daughter. I don't want her to know stuff like this at her age. I guess she is going to hear about it one way or another. Grrr!!!!!!! |
My daughter was really disappointed in her. She usually just says "eeewe what a skank" when Paris or Britney flashed someone with no panties. This time she asked if it was true, then said "why would she do that?" "I cant believe she did that?" I could tell she was disappointed. She is 14 and in high school, so it's hard to "shock" her!!! What I really want to know is who leaked the photo to the media? |
The girl's young, she made a mistake. Hope she learns from it. A bit hypocritical of Disney, don'tcha think? Seeing as how they have sex objects etc hidden away in their disney cartoon films. |
I've never even watched highschool musical, but the media is really not being fair to her. The pictures she took were meant to be private. Also, she is an actress, and just because she plays a wholesome character doesn't mean she's expected to be perfect in real life. One of my professors said he likes to watch really old movies because back then there wasn't the media and you didn't know anything about the actor's real life so you could really just enjoy the movie and the character without thought of the actor's real life. So now just because she has a nude picture out there, she can't play a good-girl character anymore? Why??? It's just a role...not something she really has to be...that is why it's called acting. Obviously celebs are going to have their picture taken and people are going to know what goes on in their lives, but it's really sad when they aren't able to keep anything private - some things are meant to be kept private and should stay that way. I know we have freedom of speech and press here in the US, but there needs to be some kind of regulation on the media because it's getting out of hand. I feel sorry for her because this shouldn't have been made public. What she does in her personal life is her business |

I agree. HOWEVER, if she's old enough to be taking nude photos of herself, she's old enough to know that it IS going to get out to the public and she's old enough to know that she's a role model for young girls (underage, very young girls) and they don't need to be doing this. |

A hidden sex object is pretty different than a very out there full-frontal nude picture. Kids aren't going to catch the hidden sex things in the Disney movies they watch, but if they happen to get online & search for their favourite character in a very popular children's/tween movie this is the FIRST thing that's going to come up. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=...+hudgens&meta= http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=...+musical&meta= http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=...+musical&meta= |
There may be reasoning for her firing we don't know. Maybe within her contract with Disney it mentioned something about if things of this manner would occur then they would break their contract. We just don't know... |
It doesn't say she was fired Disney had no comment on the situation. They would not fire her because HSM 3 would tank. They will do a clean up in time for it. BTW the pics are no longer up on the site. |

Not sure what you mean by the first comment, but to address the internet control software...that's my understanding as well, but not all parents have that for whatever reason. Plus, there are many MANY ways to get around that software. Google it. You'll get step-by-step guides for whatever type of parental controls you want to break out of. Kids aren't stupid. |
I just read something that said Disney was backing her even with her lapse of judgment and they are still in negotiations for movie #3. A lot of people have said that it would be too hard to explain why she wasn't in the third movie and that they wouldn't go see it. She made a bad choice that's come back to bite her. Bet she thinks twice the next time. |

But everyone is a role model to someone. I don't think kids are going to look up to her any less now because of the picture. I mean look at Britney Spears - she became the "sex object" that every mother hated to see their kids idolize. Just because she's an actress in a movie that a lot of young girls watch shouldn't mean she has to live her life to be a perfect role model to these kids. She's just an actress in a movie... Don't kids moreso look up to her character in the movie than the actress herself anyway? And she's not a little girl herself - she's 18 and now an adult. That's the problem with a lot of "teenager" movies. They cast adults in teen/child roles and kids want to be just like them but in reality the actor is like 20-something. I just think it's unfair that just because she's a Disney actor in a popular movie that kids like that she's getting so much flack for the picture (which was supposed to be private anyway). |

She bothers me anyway. |
I was thinking about this more and why was what she did so bad? It's not like she posed for a porn magazine or released a sex tape or even published this picture herself. People are naked a lot in their bedrooms. It's natural. She took the picture privately for her boyfriend. It was meant for him and her only. I know she's only 18 and idealy she shouldn't be having sex until she's married, but can your really expect her to not be having sex with her boyfriend just because she acts in a Disney movie? That picture was not meant to be made public. Ther needs to be some law about releasing pictures without the consent of the person in the picture. What if some reporter was looking in your window while you were changing clothes and snapped a picture of you naked and then published it? You didn't do anything wrong - you were just naked in your own bedroom, privately.... Same thing with her - she was naked in her bedroom and a picture was taken (even if she was the one who took it) that was meant to be kept private and it wasnt'. |
