JeanieK Needs YT Prayers! I know that JeanieK posted a few days ago about the possibility of her husband losing his foot due to his Diabetes. They had been able to see another doctor that gave them hope of being able to save his foot. He was going to have surgery on Friday and the doctor had told them that he has about a 85% success rate with this type of procedure. However, I received an email from Jeanie this morning that she had to take her husband to the hospitial because he was in so much pain. Now they are running tests to see if his heart is even strong enough for the surgery on Friday. Jeanie also said that they don't believe that there will be much of a chance to save his foot. I feel so incredibly sad for this family because there are already health issues that they endure....I will let Jeanie tell you more about this,if she wants. They need our thoughts and prayers right now and I knew that she could count on YorkieTalk for this! Tammy |

thank you all for your thoughts and prayerds. It is not looking good. The will definitely need to amputate his foot. I honestly don't feel that he will ever come home again. After surgery he will be moved to a rehab facility, aka Nursing Home. It takes two strong nurses to get him on his feet and into a chair, there is no way that I could help him by myself to go to the bathroom or get in and out of bed. He is not young and strong. He is very weak with a bad heart. The Dr said he feels there is less than a 50% chance that he will ever learn to use a prosthetic. It is difficult for him to get around with two feet I can't imagine that he will be able to do it on one foot. I doubt he will have much of a will to live if he can't come home to his furbabies. those dog are such a joy to him. My life is about to change from every thing I know as normal. It will never be the same again. I am sooooooooooooooo very sad. |
Bless you Jeanie and your husband... I am praying that he will rise from this tough trial.... if he has to go into a "rehab" facility, there are those that allow your furbabies to visit him.... I know how very important furry kisses are... Bless you! d |
Praying that you are wrong about your husband's outcome. Sometimes we are so depressed by a situation that it clouds our vision. Hopefully, he will recover and both of you will be able to adapt better than you think. I'm sure you are more resilient than you feel at the moment. |

I am so very sorry to hear this. You are right, the will to live means everything, when it is lost, then all may be lost. Your life will be different, change is so hard, and it is so difficult to see the ones we love suffer. I wish it could be different. Treasure the time you have.......... Again, I'm sorry. |
