Oh Jeanie! I am so very sorry to read this post. By chance, are there any rehab facilities near you that allow furbabies as well? I'm sure that would make a huge difference for your husband! Good luck with everything!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

for him to come home. After therapy I am sure he can come home. What
about a visiting nurse? He needs his furbabies to keep him going. Dogs
are physical as well as mental healers. I am sure after you have had time
to absurb all this change something will work out for him to return home.
Prayer's coming for both of you to be strong and get through this tramatic
time in both your lives.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Please take care of yourself while you are going through this. The nursing home will take good care of your husband and most of them let their patients have visits from their pets! ai will be thinking of both of you and pray that things will work out for the best.

I am so sorry as I just read your post to update. Keep strong my dear .. we are here for you. I am still sending lots of prayers and thoughts for you and your hubby.

What about the suggestion for a rehab center closer to your house that allows furbabies? Or maybe a live-in nurse? I don't know... don't give up hope. there is always something.

Thank You all for your thoughts and prayers.
I am finally able to have a few moments to myself. My daughters have been here helping me so I could spend as much time as possible at the hospital

My husband made it through the surgery OK. He is doing well. They removed his leg at mid thigh, so not much is left. they wanted to go where there was good blood flow to improve the chances of healing.

His heart was a major concern, but it did fine. He has some pain, of course, but not nearly as much as he was having before the surgery.

Now that the surgery is behind us we can start to move forward. He has a lot of hard work before he'll be strong enough to come home.

The Lord has given us the strength to make it this far, I think we can make it through the rest of it.

You and your husband are still in my prayers. I have been thinking a lot about you and plan to call you some time soon but didn't want to bother you with so much going on. Please let me know what I can do for you!

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's health issues, it's a very scary thing! My father has diabetes and very poor circulation in his feet as well...My prayers and love are with you both in this difficult time. Hopefully now that the surgery is past him he won't have so much pain in the future!

Jeannie - you know I'm with you girl - I hope our talk helped but you're in my prayers as I know exactly what you're going thru and it's such a scary helpless thing to be facing. I wish I could say better words but you have lots of support and friends - always know you can call me anytime - you all were there for me since husband died and still are - but I want to be there for you thru this
