I don't think anyone here meant any disrespect to the Monarchy. Princess Diana was dearly loved the world around--very much so here in the US. I think we all just mourn her and need answers to help deal with it. I know I cried for a week when she died. | |

They set off to return back to their appartment they were staying in at just after 12am and Dodi was pronounced dead at the seen at 1.30am after failed attempts at resusitation after fire crew fought to get him free from the car.... so I doubt it took 1 and a half hours for help to arrive. Princess Diana was alive when the fire crew got there and it took an hour to cut her free from the car. She was admitted into hospital shortly after 2am and died around 4am due to sever internal injuries. Her body was collected at 2pm the following day by her two sister and Prince Charles.

| French Police investigated the white car, it was a Fiat Uno that was believed to have glanced the Merc. They eliminated 4000 cars and found no malicious intent... our Metropolitian Police spent a year investigating the same thing and also found nothing.

Unless you were there, behind closed doors, how do you KNOW that there was no abuse? Sorry, but it happens every day No one is bashing your royal family, just expressing OUR opinions, which thank GOD, is perfectly legal.

Everything that people have stated on here is proved wrong on the Operation Pagent Report which is the Metropolitian Police file and report for the investigation and court proceeding...

| First of all, I have always respected the Monarchy. I once had a crush on Charles -- long before he married Diana--long nose and all. I thought he was very charming. (Yes, a prince charming )I have also always thought that Queen Elizabeth is an amazing woman. She was a strong woman long before strong, powerful women were accepted. As an American, I don't believe I can ever completely understand some aspects of British culture. The calm, seemingly "unemotional" attitude is (I believe) simply the Queen's public persona and does not represent her true thoughts and emotions. I watched Diana's wedding at 2am during my freshman year in college. I remember following her engagement to Charles in the media, and thinking how sad it was that they made such a big deal out of the fact that she forgot to wear a slip under her skirt for a photo shoot! I remember cutting my hair like Diana's. I remember cheering the birth of her beautiful boys.I also followed everything surrounding her separation and divorce and yes, her death. I still donate to the charities she supported. I may get blasted for this, but she was no angel. She was very human and she had her own issues and infidelities. I don't see either one of them as "innocent". I do find it sad that she isn't here to see how wonderful her boys are! Yes, they've made mistakes too. We all have. I agree that she should be left in peace, but sadly, I have continued to read media reports and books as well as watch movies about her, so I know that I am continuing to support the media frenzy responsible for her death. No, I do not think she was murdered. I think it was a tragic accident negligently caused or initiated by a media frenzy. I think from now on I will think twice before continuing to support that sort of behavior.
