OH, I see! Try to find information on juicing cabbage for the liver. I've heard it was excellent, but that isn't me saying this, but it would be worth a look see. There are some excellent holistic cook books for dogs too that you could check on.

I started with a hamilton beach from target. Then bought a Juiceman...went back to my little hamilton beach juicer.
Try some of the juice yourself. I like celery, zucchini, apple, carrot & parsley together.

I have a "JuiceLady" that I got from Ebay when I decided I wanted one. I know it retails for about $300 and I only paid $40 including shipping.

I can put fruit with rinds and seeds in it and one of that comes out in the juice. The juice is also really frothy. It is fairly easy to clean, but takes up lots of counter space. The pulp does come out very dry, but I'm not sure you would need to mix that in with their food.

With this juicer there is an opening you put the fruit in. You can't use whole pieces of fruit, but usually cutting in 1/2 will work just fine.

Here is the situation. Roxy and TJ had very high BAT results and I have started them on food and treats that are good for liver compromised dogs.

One of the things is to feed juiced celery or zuccinni every morning. So I am not going to be juicing a whole lot, but I will use it everyday for this purpose. And as far as the pulp, I can use that to go into their food as well.

I bought one and another and they were not cheap then finally got the Vita Mix Machine (when the rep was at Costco.) Absolutely love it, wish I had known right off about this one. I wouldn't do without it. It is worth every penney spent on it and am sure in no time you will be using it for yourself as well as for Roxy and TJ. The first two I bought was the Omega Juicer and the second was the Green Power Juicer (which is horrible to clean) The Omega (formerly called Olympic) was also The Vita Mix is super pleasure to use and clean. Good luck in your choice. I use mine everyday, and things that my husband isn't able to eat he gets through the use of the Vita Mix.
