| I need computer help - NOW!! My son came to visit a week ago and wouldn't you know it, my computer is a stinking mess. I've got pop-ups of all kinds - porn sights, yada yada. I've cleared all my cookies, deleted all the temp files, run Adaware. I can't get them to stop. In addition, my computer is running so slow. Somebody please help me - I'm losing my mind |

| do you have a system restore? You can go back to a prior date (before your son touched it ) and get rid of the junk.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | this is going to be a huge pain - you may not get rid of the virus's with a restore - These programs WILL fix you up and what one misses - another will pick up - ALL ARE FREE and some you can do online - I've used them myself and had really good results - you WILL fix most of your problems if you have the time to run all these - I know it's alot but these worked for me when I was freezing up all the time and had trojans - Panda is a VERY good Antivirus and virus detection program - http://www.pandasoftware.com/product..._principal.htm Trend Micro Housecall online scan - no downloading except for a kernal to activate the scan - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ SPY BOT - you can download this anywhere - GREAT to have on your computer always - do your UPDATES when you download this http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.htm Simply Super Software's Trojan Horse Remover will scan and remove trojan horses and worms for free! But only for a 30 day trial period. http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/ For home use, download the Ad-Aware Personal -This is a "must have" that I use all the time - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ a-squared Personal is a malware, trojan, dialer and spyware scanner and remover - THIS found stuff that everything else missed - This is a GREAT program - free trial only http://www.emsisoft.com/en/ UNinstall that Adaware too - it does make things worse also delete ALL cookies and temp files - but when you run that A-squared I bet it takes out alot of nasty stuff if you're having that many popups. My son did that to my computer AND my dads - I know what your going thru

| All of the links that Villette are great! My favorite site for help with computer problems is http://www.komando.com Browse her site and you will find the answer to almost any problem that you have with instructions on how to fix it. She also has a ton of free downloads to help with any problem.
