| As I was reading this I was sickened that any one would purposely abuse a dog ...I don't care what that dog did, there is no excuse for the abuse that's being inflicted on him.....This can be handled in a proper way, just speak with the neighbors directly in a civil and polite way, if you use the right approach the neighbors might cooperate...if that doesn't work call the dog warden ... I don't think that dog is going to put 2 & 2 together and stop coming into the yard on his own no matter how many times he gets kicked or shot or yelled at, your going after the wrong party.... I had my neighbors dog jumped my fence and scratched two sides of my new Jeep jumping up on it...I would have never hurt that dog...I spoke to the owner and it was taken care of...I hope you decide do the right thing..

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Superstarkba ..this is bothering me - so, you guys bought a REAL gun ?? and you're going to shoot this dog to hurt him or as you said - make him yelp ? ? Are you serious ??? Tell me I read this wrong...and that isn't what you're planning. You need to go to your neighbors and tell them to come clean up after their dog - end of story. Kicking dogs and getting guns is SO NOT the way to handle this |

| But here you said it is OK for him to come over and play with Aubrey. He doesn't understand why one time he can come over and play and everything is fine, and then other times he comes over and gets kicked and/or shot at.

| I think you and bf are taking this too far buying a gun and kicking the poor dog that doesn't have a clue of the bad owners he has. why taking it on the dog?? Areyou guys afraid to confront the owners? Sorry, but it is so sad that you are taking it on the dog. Hurting the dog is not going to solve the problem the real problem are your neighbors.

| I find this whole situation disturbing....I don't know what is worse , the abused dog or the parties involved thinking it's perfectly fine to do it...

Superstarkba - I know you came looking for some help - but you guys are handling this very badly - it's DOG POOP for crying out loud ! You can't go around kicking animals especialy over over an inconvience - to be honest - this is a dog lover site - you won't find any help talking about hurting a defenseless dog. I really think you just need to talk to the neighbors - or don't worry about it -look at it this way - he's fertilizing your lawn for you He sounds like a nice dog & he didn't deseve to be kicked - no dog does !

| It will not hurt the dog. My grandmother does it when stray dogs come in her yard, they just run away and DON"T come back. Its not an option to ask the neighbors.. only if I could tell you how they are. Now I make sure that I keep my dog in my own yard, I don't let either one of them in anyones yard to pee/poop. They should do the same thing that I do. |

| This reminds me of My Brotherinlaw. He says theirs a law in our County that if a dog comes onto your property the homeowner can take poession of it. A dog came over in his yard and he threw it over his fence. My Husband told him if that dog would have gotten a broken leg he could be charged with animal cruelty and also be sued. He doesnt think he could.

| I have to agree - I think everyone has had a neighbors dog go on their yard, but it isn't the dog's fault - they don't understand property lines and are just looking for a place to go. Wow! I thought this was kind of a joke and chimed in with my poo story, but please don't hurt the poor dog! He is obviously not getting the attention HE needs at home, let alone being hurt by someone else too |

| I have a bb gun, with bb's in it. It will not penetrate, it will bouce right off of him. So everyone is telling me that I should go talk to the neighbors, and then not listen, and then put the poop in there driveway/yard, then think its a joke.. and I still have DOG POOP in my yard... Thats not going to work!! So what other option is there?? |

I have their phone number and when the dogs get in my yard - I just call them up and they come get them - NEVER would I hit or kick them let alone fire a gun at them - you may end up in alot more trouble than you bargained for if you start taking shots at this poor dog. I don't care if it IS a BB GUN - that's still abuse and it's CRUEL.

| There are town ordinances that state you must pick up after your dog not to mention leash laws - i would look into that - you can file a complaint |

| Well the thing is, yeah thats a good idea to call them, well I doubt the have phones, there power isn't even on. And I like my neigbors to have my cell and home number, for emergencies, so when they moved in I gave them my number, and they didn't give me a number.. they might have a cell phone, who knows. |
