I had written a thread before on my stepdad being very sick. He died this afternoon at 5:30 p.m.. I still cannot believe it , it seems like such a bad dream. My mother is devastated and I really do not know what to do, but be by her side. These coming days are going to be very hard, he is going to be cremated and his ashes will be liberated in the sand. He hated the water! I am devastated, what do you do now? I am sitting here looking at all his personal belongings and I cannot believe that I am never going to see him again. I have to go I cannot see through my tears, I only hope that God gives my family and myself the energy and the strength to go on.

Oh girl I am so very sorry to hear about your stepdad...this is just awful news

It seems like so many people are going through such terrible times right now.

OH NO! I'm so so sorry for your family ! Your poor mom - I don't know what to say but that she'll be in my prayers and so will you. Your stepdad must have been very special to be so loved and you have my sincere condolences

i know its going to be tough for a while but time will pass and it will get better. i really dont have the words right now cause this happen so fast you had just told me this the other day. all i can tell you hes in a better place right now. may he rip.

You try you're very best to do what you're Dad would have wanted you to do. Make him proud, he's watching you. Be there for your Mom, but you don't have to be strong. Let you're feelings out. I can't say much, because I lost my Dad 7 years ago, and I'm sitting here crying now. All I can say is God bless you, and I'm so very very sorry. I know what it's like to loose your Dad.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I wish I could tell you that it will all be okay and you'll find comfort in knowing that he is now longer sick or in pain, but none of that will really help. Only time will make the memories come with smiles rather than tears. Just be there for your mom, spend lots of time with her, and you'll know when the time is right to sort through his belongings.

I am so sorry for your terrible loss. My Mom passed away in March and it is so hard to get through it. But we have no other choice.
