| I have both - but once you get a laptop, it's hard to go back to the desktop. I hardly ever use my my desktop now.

| I have the bigger screen - it's hard to find bags to carry it, plus it's heavy, so it could depend on whether you will be taking places a lot.

| I have a dell too and I love it! ..but I wish I would have gotten a smaller screen. With school and such, I tote it around alot. If you're planning on leaving it at home, I would go with the bigger. But, if you're wanting to take it places, its kinda heavy..so I would have gotten the smaller screen..

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I'm glad you went with the Dell girl I have a dell and love it - they are great computers. And NO - you are not crazy for wanting a laptop even though you already have a desktop. GIRL - my hubby and I EACH have our own laptops, and we each have our OWN desktops...yeah, 4 computers Plus another desktop that's not even being used right now, so 5 if you want to include that one I know, we are nuts

| I have a Mac 13". I LOVE it. I've had a Vaio and my husband has a Dell and I can't even tell you how much better my Mac is. No crashing, no IE explorer errors. Learning how to right click took a little while. It's white and stylish. I looked into pink laptops but was afraid they'd look dates after awhile. I have 2.16 ghz and 2gb and it runs like a dream. The vaios came with so much preloaded crap that it would crash on the first day of using it. My husband called around and found a place that was selling it for $1200 something(that's less than the website price). That still might be more than you want to spend though.

| I know this might sound nuts, but check it out on qvc.com too. It comes with the 3 year warranty included and sometimes you can get the easy pay and still get it cheaper than you work discount. |

| think about what you're really going to be doing with the computer. my husband's a gamer so he needed a really good video card and lots of memory space. now he's not gaming so much, and his laptop is super heavy just to tote around. i think dell can help you go thru what you might need in order to get the best amount of memory and accessories for you. good luck! |
