| I'd reconsider. Just because you breed your dogs doesn't mean the puppies are going to be clones of Max. Also, if you can't afford the initial cost of buying a second dog, how can you afford vet bills and all the things that go along with a second dog? What if an emergency would happen to one or both dogs? |

I agree with you!!! It gets expensive. Breeders don't get every penny they make off of their puppies. My breeder has gone in the hole several times.

YT 2000 Club Member | I think that she meant that just because you breed him you will not be guaranteed that they will possess the qualities that you like in Max. You might want to head over to the breeder section and see post over their if you really want to get into breeding, they have great information over their that might help you out better. |

| I'm a breeder and I can tell you, you can never clone your stud. Too many variables. If you want a clone of your dog, go to his father for stud service. More chance of getting a clone that way.

| Why don't you buy another dog from the same breeder? You could even get another puppy from the same parents when they have their next litter.

| well it is one of my options. im just not sure if i should not give my boy a chance to make puppies or give him the chance. i dont want to make the wrong choice. but i do think that if i do buy one more it would be from the same breeder. i will just have to wait until the breeder has more pups. is the mother or father more likely to have the stronger genes? does any one now?
