OK. Well, whenever someone asks me, I say I want to be a vet or a teacher.

But the truth? I want to be on Broadway.

Theatre is SO special to me and I love it more than anything in the world. I started taking voice lessons in early April, and I was just accepted into the performing arts high school. I know that the chances of my dream coming true are 1 in thousands. and this became even more obvious when I went to the Stardust diner in NYC. it's where a bunch of out of work actors work, or actors trying to "make it" on Broadway. They sing songs as they serve you, and they are incredible. But I sure am working to be the best that I can be.

When I was really young (grade school) I wanted to be a teacher more than anything. In Jr. high, I just wanted to work and make money. In Senior high I wanted to be married to a wonderful, smart and successful man, have a bunch of kids and a beautiful home. The only part of the dream that came true is my son. I'm a school bus driver now.

When I was young I wanted to be a figure skater. I would watch the ice skaters in amazement. Then my friends youth group had a little gathering and we went ice skating. I was TERRIBLE!!!! It was much harder than it looked.

I wanted to be a figure skater too, when I was young. I would watch it on TV then slide around the hardwood floors in my socks spinning around. The funny thing is I have never even tried to ice skate. Then I wanted to be a vet but I didn't want to euthanize sick animals. Now ironically I work at a shelter and have to do that sometimes.

I always wanted to be a singer or a teacher. Considering I can't carry a tune in a bucket, I had to become a teacher. I love teaching--yes, I do get stressed, and I hate grading papers, but all in all it is a GREAT and REWARDING job!!!

BTW--I am a closet singer now...really a car singer...on the way to and from work, I sing at the top of my lungs!!!!!!

Also BTW--I have full faith that when I get to Heaven, I am going to sing hymns all day long and be really good at it!!!

All I ever wanted to do was be married and have kids and be a mommy..I wouldln't change anything about my life 'cause that's just what I got to do. Still married after 38 years with 3 kids and 3 grandkids and another on the way. I am so blessed. Patty

All I ever wanted, when I was a kid, was to be a Forest Ranger in Yellowstone Park or Jellystone Park like Ranger Smith and take care of Yogi & BooBoo! I just love the science of forestry & entomology. My mom wanted me to learn to type and be a secretary because "Girls can't do that".

I always wanted to be a lawyer. But, I didn't want to defend criminals. I would have preferred being a prosecutor. In more recent years, I've thought about going to school to learn how to profile inmates. I think that would be really interesting.

I wanted to be a stripper! Don't ask me where I got that idea from! I guess I just thought it was fun to dance around! Thanks good that "dream" didn't come true! haha

I wanted to be a figure skater! I started skating when I started walking, and my parents put me in figure skating lessons when I was 4. Unfortunately my coaches were not at all competitive and I didn't even know there were competitions in my area but there were. Training moved very very slowly and by the time our skating club did get a competitive coach, I was about 15 or 16, and she already had 10 year old kids at or above my level! It was too late for me to start competing at that age, and then that coach moved on and the new coach was at the same level as me. So I stopped taking lessons and I just went and helped out teaching younger kids for a couple years until I finished high school, and I've barely skated since!

LOL One of my daughters said she wanted to be a "bag lady". I'm certainly happy that she didn't pursue that carrer.

When I was about 5 or 6 years old, I dreamed of owning my own candy store so I can eat all the candy I wanted..

After I got beyond wanting to be a Cowboy, yup! cowboy, not cowgirl, I wanted to be a professional dancer.

I love to dance and I think I would have worked hard enough to be good, but never had the opportunity.

I started skating when I started walking, and my parents put me in figure skating lessons when I was 4. Unfortunately my coaches were not at all competitive and I didn't even know there were competitions in my area but there were. Training moved very very slowly and by the time our skating club did get a competitive coach, I was about 15 or 16, and she already had 10 year old kids at or above my level! It was too late for me to start competing at that age, and then that coach moved on and the new coach was at the same level as me.
