| dog fighting in the media I remember reading a post here a while back about Michael Vick & his direct quotes trying to reason that dog fighting was "ok" (yea right...) Anyway, PETA now has a petition on general dog fighting here. There's also a letter you can edit & send to Nike - they took his merch. off the website but they're just waiting for all this to blow over, they have not fired him. Here's to hoping they do get rid of him and he learns his lesson!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | There have been a variety of articles in recent days (both sports and non-sports related) in which the authors have come down on Mr. Vick in a big way! Apparently, the indictments paint a pretty clear picture of his guilt. I admit though that I've not read them --only what I've seen on TV or online. People are appropriately riled up about this so I don't think they are going to let it just blow over. As for me, I will not buy another Nike product until I know that not one cent of what I spend is going to that despicable man. |

| Thanks for posting this. I will definitely sign the petition. Until, I had no idea what dog fighting entailed until someone explained it to me. I can't believe that people are so sick and have such little regard for an animal's life that they would do something like this. I am so sad to think that this still continues to go on elsewhere in our country. I hope they throw the book at this guy and that he gets kicked off the team. |

| I am sitting by the tv now waiting for word of what happened today. All I know is he pleaded 'not guilty'. The NFL and with his 120,000,000 dollar conrtract can afford the best lawyers and will probably get off with a fine and not being able to play for a few games. The NFL's image has been ruined so we may see a different outcome. I hope we never see his face again.
