Ok, The cook book is all ready for everyone to add recipes.

yay!! quick question, is there any type of copyright rule about getting a receipe out of another cook book?

My understanding is that individual recipes cannot be copyrighted, but that a compilation of them can. I think the magic number is 3 recipes from any one book...

Question about the cookbook:

Are all recipes submitted going to be included, or will they be chosen? Say you get 1000 recipes, are you going to pick and choose, or will they all be included? How many recipes can come from each YT member?

I was thinking that... wouldn't it be cool if it was a sprial bound book and it had too covers and you had people recipes one side and then you flipped it over and the back cover becomes the front and then there are dog recipes... you get what I mean?

Cool! I was thinking about this the other night. We have a wonderful family recipe for chocolate sheet cake that is to DIE for! I actually turned down desert at Red Lobster the other night because we had this waiting at home. I'll go submit it but can't think of a name that truly reflects it. The icing is like a quarter inch thick and tastes like milk chocolate fudge and the cake itself is moist and delicious. Any suggestions?

The more recipes we have, the more the book is going to cost. To keep the cost down, we will choose 300 recipes.

If people don't mind paying a little more, we can have more recipes.

I just added a recipe for Chicken Enchiladas!!!!! Whenever I make them for guests, they all BEG me for the recipe!

I have a recipe that is really close to this one--we love it, too--we call it cookie sheet cake. It is really chocolatey!
