I had mine at age 42 and had endometriosis so the pain before was horrible compared to after the surgery. Its not bad having hot flashes occassionally but meds help control that alot now. Its sooooo much better the having the terrible montly pain and bloating. |

Having a health problem many times can pre-sent lots of stress on one's body so if surgery is needed in getting it taken care of most always can let the sun shine through and the past days that were clouded with doubts and despair will forever be gone. Just being able to get my hysto surgery over with I was so thankful that the tumors I had, proved to be not malignant. I had to have a complete hysto over 19 years ago plus appendix removed and did fine. I left the hospital in 12 hours after my surgery ( my Gynocologist remarked that I made the Guiness Book Of Records, going home so soon ) circumstances at the hospital I was in, helped he and I both to make that decision. I did as he ordered and followed his orders to the T and did great. At my own decision and choice I never went on any hormone treatments and never gained weight. I was always very active around home so I think that helped in not putting on the weight, and still have no problem with weight gain. Sending Hugs and prayers that all will be fine for you real soon.
