Val it has been several days since Mikey got to go home so I was just checking in to see how the little man is doing? What is the good word?

Hi Barb,
Mikey is doing great. I was going to try and get the pictures I have taken the past couple of days and shrink them down so. It keeps coming up they are to big. Becca brought him over last night and it was so warm here we put his feet in the pool. I sure had my camera for that. He hated it but loved it after a couple of minutes. Becca said he does nothing but cry all night long. He goes to sleep at 3 in the am. So she is wiped out. My youngest son went to her house to help her out today. He goes to the doctors tomorrow to see how things are going. I will let you know then what the doc says. Thank you for asking about Mikey. Oh i got to babysit the other night so mom and dad could go out for a while I just loved that. gotta run.

Val thanks for the update. I hope the crying is nothing serious. Mine cried for the first 8 months of her life. She was so collicky. Hope tomorrow goes well.

How did the Dr. appointment go today? I hope all went as well as possible and things are settled down for all of you. I cant wait to see pictures of Mikey since he has been home.

I can't wait to watch MIkey grow:)

Update on DR appointment
 

Hey everyone,
Just a quick little note. Mikey's appointment went really well today. The doctors told Becca Mikey is slow at something but is learning fast at other things. Like smiling he smiles already and he is 7 and half weeks old. He watches were everyone is and follows objects with his eyes. These are all good things. The doctor did say that he was going to set up early intervention for Mikey so Becca is waiting for phone calls on that. This will bring therapists into the house for physicle therapy, occupational therapy, and adventually speach therapy. This is somethign we have learned is needed in most Hydrocephalus children and the earlier they start the better it is. So Everything is good there. He now weighs a whooping 9.3 1/2 and is 23 inches long. He so sweet while we were on the road today he did have a seizure, but we just have to watch and see with those meds might need to be adjusted again.
I am going to work on those pictues. Mikey was here again tonight with Becca it was 95 degrees today and my house is cool with AC, but we took him out to the pool again. I set up a little blow up boat with a bath sheet in it and we layed him in that he loved it. He liked watching the birds flying and watching he trees. He didn't cry once in the pool. I told Becca where he is not sleeping at night maybe she should set something like the boat up at her house and set it in the tub with a little water and let him float and sleep.lol She told me the bathroom floor is not that comfortable.lol
Well gotta run and get those pictures done so I can post them.

So happy to hear the good news about Mikey. He is a little miracle baby. Really anxious to see his pictures.

Glad to hear here is doing so good. Maybe Becca needs to put a little baby swimming pool in her bedroom and let him float in there when he doesnt want to sleep at night...LOL I bet it is more comfy than the bathroom floor. I am so happy he is doing ok and he will catch up with other kids his age and do just fine.
