Anyone With a Swimming Pool?

Wow! Just plain bleach....how does that work on her hair and swimwear and pool liner? She doesn't add anything else? I don't think I have ever heard of anyone just using plain bleach.

I don't have a pool anymore, so I can't help you with where to order it from. But I just wanted to add that our pool was Baquacil and we LOVED it. I got so used to it that I cannot force myself into clorine pools at hotels or friends' houses anymore.

We bought ours from a small, privately owned store (that did NOT install pools) in a part of town that was very run down and no one even had a pool!?
I would suggest going to a YMCA or gym where they have a pool and ask where they get theirs. I'm sure they have to buy in bulk, but I'm also sure they know where to get good deals so they can still make a nice profit.

If I recall correctly, plain bleach is only 5% chlorine, so it is half the strength of the stuff sold in grocery stores and even less than the stuff at the professional pool chemical companies.

Jenn, my parents have an above ground pool and they use Softswim, it's also chlorine free. I know they don't get it online, and I'm not sure if it's expensive or not but I don't think it is, so maybe try that? I like it because your skin doesn't have that dried out feeling when you get out of the pool, and you don't smell like the pool either!

We don't have a pool but a friend recently bought a house and switched the pool from chlorine to a salt system. She loves it.

I wanted to do the salt system, but my DH didn't want to go with that choice because of the cost....the pool place we checked out (there were three of them) where charging an outrageous amount for this option!!!

Our pool was the BEST investment. My kids love it! Here's a picture of my daughter and one of my son and her on their boat. Now I have to buy oars for them. Not sure where they're boating to in a pool though.
