Are there any Nascar fans on here?
 

I was just wondering if there are any Nascar fans on this forum? I am a big fan of Matt Kenseth.

I am guessing you do not like Matt then. I am not a Gordon fan either. I like Reed Sorenson too.

The only one I really don't like is Robbie Gordon. Mark Martin is another of my favorites.

Huge Nascar fan here! I have a few favorite drivers....Jimmie Johnson, Elliot Sadler, Casey Mears and Tony Stewart.

I don't like Robbie's driving but he is nice in person. Do you guys go to any races? I usually go to Richmond every year. I have been to Dover, Daytona, Charlotte and Martinsville.

I have never been. My daughter does to quite a few. We live really close to the Texas Motor Speedway but hate to fight the crowds. My husband says sometime we will go out and take the camper and go early to avoid the crowds.

I would like to go to Texas but we live in Virginia and I do not fly. Camping would be fun, we always stay in hotels.

I am a HUGE Nascar fan! I like all the drivers except I'm not crazy about the Busch brothers. Dale Earnhardt was my favorite, so of course I'm a Junior fan. And Tony Stewart because he's from Indiana. I was IMing with Diggy 4 last night during the race. I had to stop at the end because it was such a great finish!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe the finish last night!

I know I was pulling so hard for Jamie to beat Kyle. I really do not like the Busch brothers either.

What do you think of Junior going to Hendrick motorsports?

Well, to tell the truth I don't blame him! I feel bad that he has to leave his fathers company, but Theresa didn't really give him a fair choice I think.

Last nights race was incredible. I couldn't believe the end. The said it was the 2nd closest finish since 1993 or 1983, I can't remember now that I'm typing it out. shucks

The races have been pretty boring this year so that one was great. I think Junior should definately get to take the number 8 with him. But they didn't let Michael take the 15 so they probably won't let him take the 8.

I'm thinking Budweiser knows where the money is and that the sponsor is going to follow the driver even if it means paying Earnhardt Inc for breaking contract. What's sad is that Jr's step mom is an idiot. Without him I'm guessing Earnhardt Inc will just end up making engines..... who knows, I don't know much about it.

Dale Earnhardt was my favorite, so of course I'm a Junior fan. I've been to Pocono a few times. I just went in June and had garage passes and was there for the Drivers Meeting. I got JR's autograph on my hat so I was very excited :p

I think Teresa is making a mistake in letting him go. I think Earnhardt SR would not be happy that Junior feels he has to leave to be successful. DEI has not been that productive for a while. I think Teresa is running it into the ground. Maybe the new guy she hired will improve things.

HUGE Jeff Godon fan here:thumbup: ...followed closely by Jimmie Johnson. (We tend to pull for the Hendrick guys.) Then there are some drivers that I REALLY dislike...Tony Stewart would be at the top of the list...along with Montoya, Kenseth, M Martin and Greg Biffle and definately Brian Vickers...I think he really did the Hendrick guys wrong at Talladega last year and I am GLAD they got rid of him and I'm even more glad that he's having a crappy year.:cool:

I've been to qualifying and practices a couple of times, but never to an actual race. I only live about 20 min from Talladega.:D

I didn't like Montoya when he drove Formula 1. He is very arrogant. I get tired of the announcers talking about him.

I know exactly what you mean. I personally don't give a crap what he did as a Formula 1 racer...this is the NEXTEL Circuit. You don't come in and expect and demand respect the way he does...he is a still a rookie. He's gonna wreck the wrong person one day...:rolleyes:

Huge NASCAR fan here, too. I just like random drivers--no rhyme or reason to it! Kahne, Martin, Junior, Kenseth--and although I orginally did not like the Bush brothers, after meeting them I found them to be nice in person--just not on the racetrack. I still don't *root* for them to win, but I am not down on them so much.

My brother gets ill with me because I just like all different drivers--not all from a certain group or make of cars--he is a Chevrolet dealer!

I like most of the drivers (JR, Stewart, Martin, even Kyle Petty...I really like almost all of them...I guess I'm not a TRUE loyal fan to any one of them).
I do NOT like the Busch brothers or Motoya (just because of their attitudes and their driving sometimes).

WE have been to the race in Texas, I think it was two years ago. Have tons of pictures.

I know that Jr and his sister really tried and tried to work with their stepmother and DEI, but they just weren't making any changes and giving Jr the car he needed....there was really nothing else he could have done. (we have a friend who is a true Jr and Earnhardt fan).

He was wanting to go with Gibbs but Gibbs didn't want the alcohol sponsor. Is Gibbs the one that his dad was with for awhile? I don't know....

I just hope his fans don't make a big deal about him going w/ Hendricks because I have seen the races where Jr fans get pretty "mean" with Gordon and Johnson (throwing full beer cans, etc).

I was watching some NASCAR show and they were talking about how Jr is one of the nicest drivers out there. (on the track and off)...he is just friends with all the drivers...where as some of the drivers are not very friendly.

My husband is a huge Chevy fan, but some drivers, he doesn't car for.......he gets mad at me too because I will sometime root for a Dodge...hee,hee

What is up with Waldrip??? Has he even qualified for a race since the switch?

As I said before, Jeff Gordon is my favorite. In fact, Misty made me a #24 harness vest for Murfee. The first was too big so he just got his smaller one today and has it on. She does a wonderful job:D

Awwwww:wub: Kasey Kahne...he is a cutie! I love that commercial where the lady cop pulls him over (she has her friends in the car with her - the ones that are always following him)....too funny!!!

I like that copmmercial too. I met him last year at Richmond. He signed some stuff and I got my picture taken with him. It hangs over my desk. He is really cute.
