Do you guys like the road courses? I don't. I like the short tracks the best.

I watch the road courses, but I don't really like them. They are just not as fun to watch.

I have no choice but to be a nascar fan living in the same house with a nascar freak...aka my husband. He is a devoted Jr. I like 11 Denny Hamlin. I suae to be a Jimmy Johnson fan ,I just don't care for his attitude anymore.
My husband and my Daughter go to the races here in California at Fontana. Im not much on crowds.

Bud looking at another driver to sponsor next year

Budweiser officials are shopping around for their best sponsorship option in NASCAR, a clear indication that the beer company will not sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Hendrick Motorsports next season, sources confirmed Tuesday.

It's expected that PepsiCo Inc., possibly with the Mountain Dew brand or a combination of Pepsi products, will sponsor Earnhardt next season in the No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick.

And Anheuser-Busch is negotiating with Evernham Motorsports to possibly move the Bud sponsorship to Kasey Kahne's No. 9 Dodge next season.

Budweiser officials also have contacted officials at Lowe's Motor Speedway about the possibility of holding a news conference at the Lowe's Speedway Club next week if a new team sponsorship agreement is reached.

An Evernham Motorsports official said Tuesday that no agreement has been reached with Budweiser and that the Evernham marketing department was talking to several other companies about potential sponsorships for 2008.

Team owner Ray Evernham has an agreement with Dodge, through the Dodge Dealers, to sponsor both Kahne's car and the No. 19 Dodge of Elliott Sadler through 2010.

The Dodge dealers would have to sign off on any deal to allow Budweiser to move to Kahne's car.

One source close to the negotiations told ESPN.com that it's still possible Budweiser could stay at Dale Earnhardt Inc., depending on whom DEI signs to replace Earnhardt.

Budweiser has sponsored Earnhardt and the No. 8 Chevrolet at DEI since the racer's rookie season of 2000.

But Budweiser officials now have targeted four other drivers they would consider sponsoring next season, including Kahne. The other three drivers are not known.

Pepsi has been an associate sponsor at Hendrick Motorsports for Jeff Gordon's No. 24 Chevy, and sometimes appears on the hood, including at the Pepsi 400 on Saturday night at Daytona.

International Speedway Corp. is ending its association with Pepsi after signing a new deal with Coca-Cola this week.

So Pepsi officials want to increase their exposure by sponsoring Earnhardt, but it could be a combination of its soft drink and sports drink brands -- such as Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Mug Root Beer and Gatorade -- that will appear on the car

I can't see Kasey Kahne is Budweiser commercials. He does not look like the beer drinking type. But I guess Budweiser wants to work with a popular driver.

I can kind of see their point...Hendrick MS was asking twice what DEI was for sponsorship. They don't need it that bad for their business.

I really LOVE the Bud commercial where they are chasing him in his car and he says "just because I have Bud on the car doesn't mean I have Bud in the car."

You know what I thought was funny. Remember that commercial last year about Dale Jr. changing his number? ("He changed his numberrrrrr!") Well, now he IS changing his number.:p

We are Jeff Gordon Fans. Hubby always goes to a couple races per year. Going to Bristol night race in Aug. and we both always go to the Brickyard

My 6 yr old is a huge Jimmy Johnson fan. I like that even at a young age he is picking his own drivers to like and not just liking ones that his dad and I like.

Junior's Budweiser commercials are the best commercials. I am going to miss them if they don't stay with him. Hendrick drivers are supposed to act and dress a certain way. I don't think Budweiser would fit in in their organization.

Act professional, dress decent. They speak intelligently not like some of the drivers. Junior doesn't exactly act like the Hendrick drivers. He is a tee shirt and jeans kinda of guy and doesn't fit their mold.

I am NOT a Hendrick fan by no means, just the opposite. I am glad I am not a Junior fan because I would not support his move to Hendrick.

His dad drove for Hendricks before he died. I don't think Dale Sr fit the mold either, but he was an excellent driver. And people either loved or hated him.

I have seen most of the Hendricks drivers wearing jeans and t-shirts, but they dress accordingly when necessary.

What's funny is Hendrick in the beginning also said the there was no room for Jr on his team and he wasn't vying for him. Guess where he ended up? Kinda ironic huh? I think they knew the whole time that that is where Jr. was going.

Dale Earnhardt Sr drove for Richard Childress for years. He ran a Hendrick car I think in the Busch series a few times years ago when Dale Jr was young.

we went to the first race there. It was crazy stuck on the highway for 2 hrs. We had fun though. Why did the build it in a dry county???? hello race fans love beer(not me LOL) Yes I know they can BYOB LOL I just thight it was kinda dumb to build it there.

I heard that Hendricks is a very Christian group (nothing wrong with that at all) and that they didn't want to have beer associated with their group....and that Bud had tried a few years back to do something with Hendricks, but the deal went sour and Bud didn't want to do business with them anyway? Who knows!

I can't even imagine.....Jr without the red bud #8.....crazy. They said that since his step-mother owns the number, she wouldn't sell it to him. I wonder what his dad would think of all of this??

I think it is going to be sooo different....I don't know what the Jr fans will think....most (sorry to say) already hate Gordon and Johson (for some reason) and most are Bud fans too.

I know that Jr has gotten in trouble in the past for his actions and words, so I don't know how well he will fit into that group?! They say he is one of the nicest drivers (on the track and off the track), but he likes to cuss and swear, etc.

I guess we will have to wait and see. I wish his step-mother was handling the business better....she is going to screw up and they will no longer have racers...they will just be building motors!

So is it for sure JR won't be driving the number 8? I thought that was still undecided.
