Looking for coolest Verizen phone for email and text

Im going to add my thoughts into here. My fiance knows someone who works with Motorola and we get to test phones before they even come out..

I had a the Q (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2729) you have to get a Data Plan, in my opinon it was horrible.

I had the MOTOKRZR K1m (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2586) loved everything about it.

Right now I have the MOTORAZR maxx Ve (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=2993) I've had no problems so far, battery life is great. Would recommend.

I have a friend who buys his cell phones off EBay. The prices are ok and they are legit phones, not stolen. I will see if he can pass me on the link.

So are you going to get to try the i phone?????? When is Verizon getting that?

Verizon won't be getting the iPhone for quite some time. If Apple will be allowing other companies to use it at all.

My boyfriend works for AT&T (Cingular) and they're the only company that has it.

He's on the iPhone support team so it's all he deals with. Most people who bought it the day they came out are JUST getting it set up. There's been a ton of delays with everything.

So far, no actual problems with the phones...just LONG delays. He did say, though, that customers are upset that it's not a PDA. So, I guess people misunderstood and thought it was like a palm pilot.

Plus, even with a 3-year contract you have to pay full retail price (Apple made that rule, not AT&T). Apple also made it so you can't take it back without paying 10% for a restocking fee (and you can only do that w/in 14 days). My boyfriend said Apple made all these weird policies that AT&T has to follow, too.

My hubby has the newest model Palm Treo and HATES the thing It is constantly "rebooting" itself (it's so weird) - and 3 other people at his work have the exact same phone and theirs does the same thing. This phone was $400 They are all thinking of dropping the Treo and getting an iPhone, hopefully it will be better!

I have the new Samsung u740. It has EVERYTHING including the Qwerty keyboard. I love typing with it as opposed to the tap method. It comes in gold or black. I got the gold one. Here's what it looks like: http://img307.imageshack.us/img307/4952/u740ca1.jpg It's just a great phone!!!

I like how the Envy's Qwerty keyboard is, but I don't like the overall look of the phone, it's long and heavy. But that's just me! I have friend's who love the Envy. I just got my new phone a week or so ago and was debating on the Envy. But, after playing with both phones (and considering the above) I went with the u740 and I'll stick with my Samsung.

So far with my Razr V3 I haven't dropped a call, always have reception and the battery have been good. I'm just looking for more gadets I think you can sign up for email alerts on the phone I have for $5 per month. Anyone have that now? How does it work???


I had Nextel before this and it was horrible.

If you just started a contract, you have 30 days to return a phone if you don't like it. If it's slightly after 30 days, you might call them and see if they can work something out. I've heard of them doing that.

Now, if you really want a new phone, you might wanna check eBay. Buying a phone outright from Verizon before your two years are up is a lot of money!

My sister's boyfriend has that, and he actually doesn't want it anymore! I think if you don't have the internet or you don't really need a PDA, it's no use getting something like that. I know Verizon internet is what, $40 a month? No that's just crazy.
