OMG I am still flying. My family are die hard Mets fans and today was the best day. We were in Philly today for the Philly Mets game and we met JOSE REYES and El' Duque along with others (Gomez, Smith, Heilman) and we missed Beltran because we were conversing with Reyes and getting our stuff signed. My boys are so so happy as Jose is our favorite. I just had to scream this out as I'm busting to tell everyone. LOL. Hubby is a retired NY cop born and raised in Queens, been a Mets fan since he could talk. LOL. And my boys have grown up Met fans and I've been a fan since marrying my husband in '85. Today was the best. We've gone a few other times and met players but never Reyes. I've attatched pictures. GO METS! Elaine

How cool is that! I'm a NY Yankees fan, please don't hate me.(Teddy is wearing a yankee shirt in my avatar) Anyway, 2 years ago, I met a few of the yankees in Baltimore. El Duque was with them then and he was very nice to us. I can just imagine your excitement. I remember how thrilled I was to get the chance to talk to my favorite teams players.

Teddy's mom. Yes, El Duque is good with the kids. Did he sign for you guys? He never signs. Three diff. times we met him and he never signed. First time he waved, second time we watched pitching practice and he told my son he would but then took off and yesterday, he talked to them, but said he had to go and again wouldn't sign for anyone. I'm thinking that his agent won't let him sign. He is very nice though with the fans. Elaine

Nope he wouldn't sign for us either! My husband is Cuban too and we thought that might help to get him sign a ball for my son. All he would say is that he can't sign the ball. He is a great guy tho!
