Well I have had really really bad cramps all my life with my "friend"... We are talking like they hurt soo bad the pain goes into my legs and all I can do is lay around all day long or try to sleep it off. so my goal is to do it all natural but IF the pain gets too bad, I will ask (if not yell lol) for drugs . I know your 1st labor goes by slow.. so there is NO need in trying to kill my self before I have to go into the delivery room.

I wish you all the best. When I am watching all those baby shows on TV I really admire the ones who go natural. Back in my time we didn't even have epidurals...my dr. just knocked me out and I woke up with a baby...and we stayed in the hospital for at least a week. By the time I went home I felt great!

I am so sorry that you have some many "friend" problems. I also had problems when I was younger and my daughter has problems now. Good luck and I can't wait to pictures posted. Patty

6 more days and counting!! I so cant wait!! I hope he comes on time! I have been getting Braxton Hicks almost every day, so HOPEFULLY this means he will be on time.... If the contractions feel anything like the Braxton Hicks.. I think I can do the natural labor... But we will see in 6 DAYS!!!

Good Luck!!! My baby turned one so I was in your spot not too long ago!! HOW EXCITING!! I know at this point you are so uncomfortable and just want your baby out!!! I never even considered natural child birth but if you can, GO FOR IT!! My son was 9 lbs 9oz so I wouldnt have made it!

Not too long until the really big day huh? I sure do wish you the best and hope all goes well. don't worry about the size. 5lbs hurts as much as 10lbs. LOL. My first labor lasted a total of 3.5 hours but my second lasted 24 hours so even that is variable. If you can get into the "zone" you should be able to do natural. But don't be a hero! Good luck and post pictures as soon as you are up to it.

I was the same way. I told my dr. that my period cramps were really bad and he said he found that women that had bad periods had an easier time during delivery. I know I did. It was NOTHING like I expected. People had me so scared. I was more nervous for the IV than anything. I ended up getting an epidural, not because I was in pain but because I was exhausted. I went in on Monday and didn't have him till Wednesday. What a long week!!! I'm wishing you the best of luck and congrats!
