| Any good suggestions for steam cleaner?? I need to get a steam cleaner and I don't know which one to buy. I want one that has built in heater and ACTUAL steam that will brush and suck up the dirt, pee and crap on my carpet. If you have one you swear by please post the name so I can check it out. Thanks guys!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Since I just put laminate in my livingroom and diningroom last month, and we have either hardwood or vinyl everywhere else, all I have left carpetwise are area and throw rugs. Knowing I planned to do this, I bought a Bissell Little Green Machine at Christmas time. Used it before I put my area rug back down on the new laminate floors. Mind you, I have a Yorkie and a cat on that rug so lots of hair and dirt to keep up with. It did a really good job. It also vacs out most of the moisture so it was mostly dry within a few hours and completely so overnight. It's a little machine though so not sure how it would do on an entire carpet. would probably be good for spot-cleaning or to do stairs if you have those. |

| Thanks Nicole. Yea I have the green machine but I don't like it. I need something that actually has the heating built in. With this you have to just pour hot water into it. I want real steam/hot water heater built in. Thanks though

| I don't have carpet anymore but when I did, I had someone come in and clean my carpets (which was a huge waste of money when I could have done it on my own lol).

| That's what I figured. It's going to cost me way more to have it done than to just pay for the vacuum and do it myself.

| If you just rent the machine and do it yourself, you'll have less than half of what you would pay to have somoene come and do it. Has is the potty training coming with my fur-nephew?

| I swear by the ProHeat 2X Select Upright Deep Cleaner. http://www.bissell.com/Products/prod...id=PH2X+Select We have two Doggies and I used to get my carpets done once a month. Seriously, I have the bills to prove it. Anyways my Mom lent me her machine and I loved it so much, that I went and bought one. I purchased mine at Costco (in case I had any regrets later) It's so easy to use, It's not too heavy, for all the power it has. Oh, and the shampoo's smell sooo good. My neighbor always compliments me. She says she can smell it from her house. A big plus too is that it dries pretty fast. I still have my carpets done once a month (and every emergency in between)

| How do I describe it...well, it does smell very fresh. We always say it's re-freshing, after we come back home. So yeah-- fresh would be a good way of describing it. It doesn't smell perfume-y, that's for sure.
