| Any Gymnastic Mom's on YT? Need Help looking for.. I need to find a GOOD but economical practice beam for my 11 year-old neice Dhalys (pronounced Dallas). If anyone knows of a good source I'd really appreciate it! Oh, she needs one that's off the ground and will be placed outside in the back yard.

| When my dtr was in gymnastics, my dh made one out of a piece of 4X4 treated lumber. He built a base at each enc like saw horses. I was going to cover it with padded vinyl but she wouldn't stay off it long enough for me to get it done. It was about 18 or 20" off the ground. Very cheap, very strong, very easy to do and it could stay out in the weather.

| Thanks all! Maybe I can talk Dan into making one for her but it would be easier just to buy one. I'll keep looking! Thanks for the tips!

| Yeah.... I think she has 14 hours a week during school and then she goes more during the summer. I asked what she wanted for her birthday gift Gave her a choice: New Leotards $100 Gift Certificate to Limited Too or the beam and she picked the beam - Go figure? She just loves the sport!

| Well, it sounds like she knows what she wants. If I come across anything, I will let you know. Good luck!! It really sounds like your daughter has a passion for gymnastics, and that is so wonderful

| I looked on Ebay.... the onlye ones I saw were only 12" off the ground. Good luck. They did have some that were low profile and folded up so she could take it with her. They even came in different colors & Prints (ie.. pink, leapord etc...)

It kind of weird... beam is her least favorite but she always scores the highest on it.
