| My son and DIL recently lost 2 beloved pets. A cat named Buddy who had to be PTS and their elderly minpin who grieved herself to death when Buddy died. They finally decided they'd like another inside dog, and really wanted a mini schnauzer. They've checked out the breed and breeders and finally found one around 8:00 last night. After talking to the breeder for about an hour, the breeder asked if we wanted to come over last night to see his puppies. It was around 9:00 by then and he lived an hour away. We thought it was too late, but the breeder is a pastor and said he'd be up very late working on his sermon for today. Well, we hopped in the car and took off! He had five of the prettiest puppies you've ever seen! 1 female and 4 males. We played with the puppies and the parents and talked with the gentleman for a LONG time. He and his wife were just great! They truly love their animals. We ended up buying a little male - 10 weeks old - who walked up to my DIL and just STAYED with her. He's salt and pepper and already has the distinctive markings of a schnauzer. He's just precious. We got back home at 1:30 this morning and I'm dying to call and check on the puppy, but I don't want to wake them up. I'm sure they were up until all hours playing with him and getting him settled. On the way home my son looked at me and said "You know we're crazy, don't you, for driving this late at night and on the spur of the moment for a puppy!" Then he grinned at me and said "I love it". Can't get any better than this!

| So glad they decided to go ahead and welcome another baby into their home. I am one who believes you should always have a pet. They will never replace the lost one, but they will bring new joy that I would need in a time of loss.

| I am sure they are very happy with their new addition. One of my daughter's closest friends has a miniature schnauzer, Paris. She is soo darn cute. She and my daughter's 2 yorkies are "best friends". They all three play great together!
