Needing prayers for My grandson Baby Mikey again.
 

Hello Everyone,
I am looking for YT prayers again. My grandson was admitted to a specialty hospital last night. He is 17 days old and he was born with Hydrocephalus(water on the brain) he had surgery to correct this and came through with flying colors. Well, now he has an infection in his brain and is on life support. This happend with in a few hours. All we know at this time is there is the infection in the brain and he keeps stopping breathing so that is why they place the breathing tube for him. He is not eating or hasn't since yesterday morning so they have also put in a feeding tube. I have started a candle lighting ceremony for him. Please join us in lighting a candle for Mikey and his parents and saying a YT pray for them.

Thank you all for saying prayers for my sweet little grandbaby. I have still not gotten any updates from anyone. They are in the ICU so they try not to come out if possible. As soon as I know something I will post an update. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart.

Quick Update
 

Well, it is to the point I am getting the updates by email, this way they do not have to go very far from the baby to send the info out and they do not have to call a million people.
He is still on lifesupport and a feeding tube until they can find out what kind of infection this is he has. No results have come back yet. (sorry if i was there, there would be some results showing up. My daughter does not know how to handle the doctor or nurses. I learned the hard way with my youngest when he had his open heart surgeries. you have to push these doctors and nurses to do thing for you if not you do them yourself.) They did an echo cardiogram.(ultra sound of the heart) on him this morning because he started getting a heart murmur. They wanted to make sure it was not one he was born with. It is called a inoccent(sp?) murmur. It is caused because he has an infection and is sick. And they found a hole between the two ventricals in the upper two chambers 1 in 5 people have this so it is common and should not ever need surgery.
He is still on three differant antibiodics until they find out exactly what the infection is that he has. He still is not out of the woods yet. I know everyone lite candles and You all have warmed my heart so much I can never say how much this all means to me. I just wanted to let everyone know the candles only burn for 48 hours. YOu can lite as many as you want and as often as you want. As soon as I hear anything else I will make sure I update you again. I get an update around every 12 hours or so.

Wow...that is a beautiful site. I've lit a candle for baby Mikey and I'm praying for him and for you and your family. This story has made me break down and sob...it really affected me. Please keep us posted, we are all pulling for this little guy to fight and come home!!

Val, I'm so sorry to hear about Mikey. Prayer is very powerful, and have faith. I will be praying for your little grandson.

Update on Mikey
 

This is what I have at this time. I just got off phone with my daughter. She said that the way the nurses and doctors were talking that yes Mikey has Menigitious(sp?). But they had to wait for the results to come back for sure. When they took the spinal fluid out of his back Friday night it was yellow and cloudy sure sign of Menigitious. The nurses and doctors are wearing gloves, gowns and masks when coming into the room and it is a room that is all glassed in. My daughter does not understand why her husband and her do not need to wear these things. I told her because she had been in contact with him so they must think that they will not catch it. The nurses and doctors also asked if either of them had a cold sore. If so he could have the herpies virus in his brain. This would have gotten there by ways of the incision from his brain surgery. Well it just so happens my son in law came down with a cold sore a day or two before all this happend. If that is the case then he will be in the hospital for over 2 wks on powerful antibiodics. so far no change he is fighting the breathing tube and tries to cry but he has so much going down his throat my daughter said that he can't cry. He has a feeding tube and the breathing tube which is making it all difficult. I am going to try and at a picture of him to this post. I am not good at this at all so I am sorry if i can not do it. I will update when I know more. Thank you all for so much support. You all are wonderful people.
