I still feel the pup would be better off in another home. Doesn't sound like that will happen however. I can only hope the living situation will improve.......just makes me sad.
Not directed at you Nikky, I agreed with your post......

OMG that is too long in a crate! The only time mine are in the crate is if my hubby and I both have to leave and that is maybe once a week! I couldn't imagine them being in the crate all night and all day

I started to look at Nodak's schedule and it's not too different from mine...

Here is my schedule:

7:30am - 6:30pm - Away at work worst case scenario (11 hours)
6:30pm - 11:30pm - home with the girls (5 hours)
11:30pm - 6:45am - Sleeping (7hr 15min)
6:45am - 7:30am - Getting ready for work (45 min)

So M-F I am able to spend 5hrs 45min with my girls, then you take away, time for bath/shower, cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc and my schedule is not that different.

Because of our work schedule, I chose NOT to crate but instead when I'm not home they are restricted to the kitchen with toys, beds, water and tv for company.

I don't think I'm the only one who has a similar schedule but my girls are well adjusted and happy. I have 3 yorkies now but for the first 5 years Jazzie was an only Yorkie and the schedule really hasn't changed much.

Just thought it was a interesting comparison.
