| Feeling Down and Alone today Today is my wedding anniversary to the man I love with all my heart. He died in October of 2005 at the age of 49. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about him, love him, miss him......want him. The little things like having him come up behind me while I'm cleaning up at the kitchen sink and putting his arms around me just because he loved me. Or the time I let him run out of milk and he hung an empty milkjug by a hangman's noose on the chandelier as you come in the front door ...just as a reminder! Or when I came to bed late and he reached out to pat me on the butt to make sure everything was OK. I see him sitting in "his chair" all the time. Whenever I walked by, he grabbed me by the shirttail and pulled me into his lap to snuggle......just 'cause. I keep his work hat on the dresser in my bedroom because I can STILL smell him when I hold it to my nose. If you're married, or with the person you love like this, please tell them everyday how you feel. We are not guaranteed tomorrow and the worse feeling in the world is to reach in the night and find..........nothing.

| That is so sad....he sounds like a very loving, affectionate man, & to have lost him at such a young age...I can surely understand the devastation you must feel everyday...getting used to a new normal must be extremely difficult for you....prayers are w/ you... I've often wondered what I would do if this happened to me ( since my DH has diabetes) all we hear about is the complications & the early deaths from heart disease...it's very scary...no one is guaranteed a tomorrow.... appreciated the time you have today.... I forgot to say, Happy Anniversary...you must have so many good memories to cherish....

| Kim reading your story brought back many memories. I also lost my husband at age 49 in Oct 1987. I feel for you because I know exactally what your going through. I am so very sorry your feeling down today. It stinks but we have to keep going. Only time can heal your pain, it's still too new. It's important to keep busy and it normal to feel down at times. There is nothing we can do but keeping going and keep busy. Do you work during the day? I do and that has kept me from going bonkers all these years plus my kids and grandchildren keep me busy. Some things are out of our hands and all we can do it try very hard to stay strong and keep going. Bless you Kim, things will get better with time for you. Hugs, |

| I'm so sorry. I wish I could make you some tea. It seems like you can really use some good friends, and lots of hugs. Instead of thinking about how sad you are, think about the good times you two had together. I'm sure it'll make you smile. |

| Kim, I am so terribly sorry. My Patrick is exactly like that and I thank God every day for him .... "my life's most beautiful surprise". We all do need a reminder sometimes to appreciate those that we love. God bless you and comfort you on this day of rememberance ... I will say a prayer for you and do remember that we all love you! [BTW ... How's your Dad? I think of him often.]
