Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Sun City vet accused of hitting dog back at work Sun City vet accused of hitting dog back at work Office schedule is full; investigation continues Becky Bartkowski The Arizona Republic Jun. 14, 2007 12:00 AM The Sun City West veterinarian accused of animal abuse was back to business as usual Wednesday. "He is so busy today, it's not even funny," said Donna Warner, a friend who was fielding calls at the Sun City West Animal Hospital. Joshua Winston was unavailable to comment because his schedule was completely booked, Warner said. Winston was arrested Monday after two veterinary assistants said that they saw him hit a Chihuahua in the head, dislodging its eye, according to Maricopa County Sheriff's officials. "He's done nothing wrong," Warner said. She said the Chihuahua's name is Bella. "We wish well for the animal, and we can't wait for the opportunity to clear his name," she said. The Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board is investigating the case, as is the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. The state board licenses all veterinarians within Arizona. Winston is the only veterinarian at the Sun City West Animal Hospital, where he employs seven other workers, Warner said. He has seen more than 300,000 animals in his 25-year career, she said. http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...cide0614.htmlg dog |

| The article stated there were two witnesses to this tragedy. Who in their right mind, if they loved their pet, would go to that vet again? Not me for sure. Go figure! |
