Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Genetically Engineered super pets?? Omg if you can watch the today show...they are doing someting I am against. Genetically producing dogs to and I quote "suite your fancy" I watched it, and it went fast of course maybe you can watch it on the internet....Heres what I picked up They are enhancing the "wanted" traits on different breeds. Labs...beeter sense of smell WHippets (sp?) extra muscles in legs to make them faster Bull Dogs....Heads so big they cannot be delivered much be c-section and so on.....this saddens me I DO NOT believe in messing with genetics for pleasure.....medically if it is needed then by all means yes if you can save a life, help someone have a baby...but to alter a digs genetic for what i see as selfish reasons...no. Just My Opinion. WHat do you think??

| Yeah---- I watched it and here's what I get from it: People are doing this for superficial, vain reasons---it certainly isn't a NEED for the dogs. Dogs already have noses hundreds of times better than ours, they need enhancing why? So they can smell the space shuttle when it flies overhead? Oy. |

| i havent heard of any of this yet, but then again i dont watch the news to much why in the world do they want the heads to be bigger? wont they look funny?? okay i can understand enhancing smell for bloodhounds or tracking dogs that are used for special services..unless it means cruel and unusual means, but how would they do that anyways??? faster running whippets how would you even ehance things like this?? it just sounds a little odd to me and it doesnt sit well with me at all |

How much you wannabet they genetically make a Giant yorkie or they make a super super tiny one. I swear I am sick over this....There is no way proper research has been done....There is no way of telling if these dogs are long-term healthy or mentally "all there" this stuff takes years ...and your right its all for vain reasons not good medical reasons..... WHy are they not trying to make a dog that has a keener sense of illness in humans??? One that could help a person having heart attack or storke....a Dog than can smell an illness in a human? A dog that could watch over a baby while he/she sleeps and sense when something is wrong...or if the baby stops breathing (sids) That I MAY go for even them I think there are enough Dr's and machines for that......WHy do they pick on innocent dogs.....Such bullsh**

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I couldn't believe this...today this girl was talking about this woman that came into her store and she had a dog. She said that she had her dog "specially made". I was like what do you mean specially made and she was like that she said that she made her so that she doesn't bark a lot, etc. That's the first time I've heard that, that is just sad
