| problems getting clients?? I started Avon...I guess it was a need for cash that got me into it; but I am lacking clients. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get more clients...I don't know many people in my community. So any suggestions help.

| Give everyone you see a book. Make sure you call your customers before your order goes in, sometimes people are too busy to call you but they have an order. Give % off to those who refer buying customers to you. You can go door to door and use the clear avon door hanger bags to distribute brochures. Go to the avon website, the ladies in the chat there have oodles more of ideas. I'm mostly in it for fun and the discount.

| I work at a bank ,and one of our regular customers brought an avon book to see if we were interested in some of the products. That same day the lady had about 7 orders from all the girls at the bank. It doesn't hurt to take a book to a place were you are a regular.

| I agree with taking books with you everywhere you go. I am a consultant with Beauti Control and though it is a different company with different products (we do at home spas) it works similar. Also, go to www.wahm.com There is a board for Avon there and I'm sure you can find some great information! Good luck!

| I work for a school district...I run the office of an elementary school. Maybe you could stop by your schools and see if they would put a few books in their staff lounge....I know I have had a few ladies who have asked me to do this and it never hurts to try...

| Everyone has great tips, so you have a good start! I think someone here sells AVON, but you can always put your website link (if you have one) in your signature. Also, ask to leave brochures EVERYWHERE - beauty salons, school offices, banks, day care centers, waiting rooms....EVERYWHERE! - some of the most unlikely places are often the best. Ask the local super markets, dry cleaners, etc. if you can post a flier w/ your information on the bottom where someone can just pull off a little tab w/ your information. I know some of our local places have business card boards...where anyway can post a few of their business cards - however many a tack can hold - I have seen some with about 4 cards on one tack. That is a good place too, if you have something local like that. Samples always get peoples attention. Mark pages of what you have samples of and include one sample of something in each brochure that you pass out. Good Luck!
