| You don't need to lick it... a simple thumbs up will do....My Dh was practically licking his second bowl of soup I tried for the first time ... I like to try new recipes now & then, it's so boring to make the same 10 recipes over & over ...in our home when I try out something new I will receive one of three different responses:.. Don't ever make that crap again ....I'll eat it, but I'm not running to the table. ..or That's a keeper & I want seconds now! ...I made a potato soup but this one had a few leeks in it (what the heck is a leek anyway ) & it was a keeper...I like to have ready to eat or just warm up stuff in the frig. when it's hot out,( other than the same old potato & macaroni salad) anyone have a keeper for warm weather...

| I don't know if you like Tuna but my family is a big fan and they love a salad that I make with it. You use the colored (vegetable) Rotini Noodles,Tuna, Boiled eggs, Shredded Cheddar cheese, and Mayonnaise. OMG I just realized I don't use measurements. Anyhow basically you dice the boiled eggs, and then throw everything together. Use the mayonnaise to your liking. I have to separate some for my son who likes a little more mayonnaise than we do. Let me know if it's confusing. I'm not very good at writing out recipes. lol. There is also a Delicious (I think so anyways) Pasta from Kraft. It's one that has Ranch Flavor. It's shell pasta, with bits of bacon, carrots, peas, and some spices. Everything is in the box, you just add the mayo. We love it. I think it's Pasta Secrets or something like that. Hope it helps.

| Potato-Leek Soup 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 2-4 leeks 1 tablespoon unbleached all-purpose flour 5 1/4 cups chicken stock or canned low-sodium chicken broth 1 bay leaf 1 3/4 pounds medium red potatoes (about 5), peeled and cut into 3/4-inch dice Table salt and ground black pepper 1. Cut off roots and tough dark green portion of leeks, leaving white portion and about 3 inches of light green. Slice in half lengthwise and chop into 1-inch sections. 2. Heat butter in Dutch oven over medium-low heat until foaming; stir in leeks, increase heat to medium, cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until leeks are tender but not mushy, 10-15 minutes; do not brown. Sprinkle flour over leeks and stir to coat evenly ; cook until flour dissolves, about 2 minutes. Increase heat to high; whisking constantly, gradually add stock. Add bay leaf and potatoes; cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, covered, until potatoes are almost tender, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove pot from heat and let stand until potatoes are tender and flavors meld, 10 to 15 minutes. Discard bay leaf, season with salt and pepper; serve immediately. Note:I didn't use bay leaf. Can add diced ham at the end. Can garnish in bowl w/ a pinch or two of cheddar cheese &/ or bacon bits.. I left the skins on the potatoes & when the soup was done took a potato masher & just did 2-4 easy mashes to create more texture.

| I use canned white meat chicken, drained, and add chopped celery, sweet pickle relish, a boiled egg, a LITTLE bit of diced onion, dill weed, and corkscrew pasta. Mix all together with mayo, salt and pepper and chill well before serving. I've also made it without the relish and used halved white grapes and almond slivers.

| Recipes! Thanks! I love easy recipes of quick salads! Here is my pasta salad: Box of Rotini (colored kind), boiled. Add some diced pepperoni, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, diced peppers, Italian seasonings, and then top it off with zesty Italian dressings to taste. I am afraid I don't measure either, just whatever I have. You can, of course use fresh tomatoes, but I am lazy (our more likely running late). Janelle |

Sounds like my husband. He just called to see if I needed anything from the grocery and I asked him to get the ingredients for potato soup. He said okay, um, we're just having soup? No meat?

10 recipes! Wow...LOL I swear my aunt (she's like sister to me) and I say there are only 4 dinners . Of course, there really are more than that, but it is hard to remember sometimes different things to cook. I swear its tacos, meatloaf, spaghetti, or chicken. | |
