| How is your house decorated? I love to decorate and I love to watch HG tv and look at decorating magazines. I love the way french country looks but I am stuck on southwestern. I love cactus and the light airy colors. My entire house is southwest (except bedrooms and the two upstairs bathrooms) Does everyone else have a theme home and are there anymore southwest decor lovers out there! |

| My house is decorated in a country theme. I also have lots of stars ( wallpaper, hanging, sitting, Ha! Ha! ). I love the "House Hunters" show on HGTV.

| I LOVE the look of "Old Wold"... w/ the tumbled marble tiles, corbels, urns, black wrought iron, tapestries...w/ colors of chocolate, mustard yellow, cream, & sage green To bad that's not mine I have antiques (I try not to buy any furniture at the regular stores, just antique shops for me ) & I'm not sure what you'd call it...I'm going to slowly incorporate the "Old World" stuff in with out the DH realizing what's happening, it will slowly change & he'll never catch on...

| oh I pretty much watch HGTV or the food channel . . .or should I say It is on any of those channels but don't really sit down to watch anymore . . . I'd say my house has no specific theme but definitely minimalist (less stuff to clean and hubby likes it that way ). I love looking at Victorian designs and cannot imagine how something so busy (mix and matching all the print and plaid colors ) can look sooo wonderfully ellegant |

| LOL! I know what you mean, I like it at night when people don't close their curtains & the lights are on cause I love to look in at their homes... I'll be all engrossed in looking out the car window & my DH will say,"Nosy!" I just respond " Darn right!"

| HGTV is my absolute favorite channel to watch. My favorite shows are House Hunters, Devine Design,Design to Sell, Hidden Potential, Buy Me etc My house is currently but decorated with light wall colors and accent walls in every room such as Apple green, Robin's egg blue, Creamy yellows etc. I accent those colors with dark woods and black and white art on the walls. Other than that my home is pretty minimal. I like to call my style "manhattan"

| I love country stuff and I love red in every room. I like new things mixed with old things, like some primitive country things with new things. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | My mother and I share a house and she has rubbed off on me. Everything is a mix of Queen Anne and Victorian. Lots of gingerbread and other decorative wood accents everywhere. We have antiques, too. Some bought, but many that are family pieces. (The kind they pry out of your cold dead hands. ) The kitchen and downstairs family room are the exceptions. The kitchen -- which I redid last year -- is Americana. The family room has a nautical theme and gives me somewhere for my lighthouses. |

| I've always done an eclectic version of french country but in our new house I've done a coastal/ caribbean thing that I love. It suites my personality.

We try to do just about everything ourselves, too. I recently completed a major laminate installation in the livingroom and dining room. About the only thing I won't mess with is electricity. Everything else I figure you can get a second chance at. With electricity, one ZZZZZZTTTTTT and you're done! | |

| Me too. I'm also NOT a clutter bug or huge nick-nack fan. I love things like marble or granite floors and stainless steel appliances.

| Well right now I am working with a blank slate. My husband says I have horrible taste but even he liked the new bedroom furniture I got today. Our new house is finally ready to move in. I gave away EVERYTHING except pictures and clothes so am starting fresh. My son built the house for us so I left everything up to him. I have kind of khaki colored walls and a beautiful slate floor. I am kind of going for a country look....but very uncluttered. I got shower curtains yesterday for 2 of the bathrooms. One is done in earthtones but the grandkids is done in turquoise ocean theme. The guys hate it but the grandkids love it. I have a sofa, ottoman, and two chairs ordered from Lazyboy. My son-in-law is putting flat screens throughout the house. My kitchen is beautiful with stainless appliances...and I have wrap around porches front and back. No idea yet for a dining table but am running out of money so may have to eat standing up for awhile RY TH I |
