In the early 60's my dad brought home about $100 a week. On pay-day someone from the shop would take all of the pay checks to the bank and bring back the $$ for the guys & put it in their lunchpails. One time they brought back silver dollars for my dad's check and it was quite a sight when he came home that night with a lunchpail filled with 100 silver dollars. We were sure that we were rich.

Wow, I remember that Helm's bakery truck...the best cream puffs in the world! And I remember 1962 when my girlfriend and I(we were 12)walking downtown Long Beach, CA and seeing if we could get any "looks" from boys. Those were the days all right!

LOL!!...I remember those little metal boxes on the porches for milk also...It's hard to believe it but it doesn't seem that long ago when tv's didn't have a remote...my word, you actually had to get up to change the channel or wait for some one to pass by, then make them do it. lol. kids are so spoiled today I even remember walking all the time to go places,now a days tell a kid to walk a mile to a store & they'll think you've lost your mind....
