I'm in need of a new scanner. My current one is horrible and old. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a great, inexpensive one for me. I won't be using it alot, I just need one that scans great.

Any suggestions?

It seems similar to my CanoScan 0u98 (or some such weird model number). It's about five or six years old now and still going strong. So I would think a newer Canon model wouldn't perform any worse.

Good luck. I know how hard these decisions are!
