What is the world coming to when people fight over other people - be it kids or parents

Can't you get counselling instead of court?

Eensor, I will defenitely have you and dad in my thoughts and prayers. It is so sad that families can be angry at each other cause of money. I know how hard it is. My mom who passed away left her brother to handle her will where she left everything ( her condo, furniture and work insurance) to My 2 sisters and me. For some reason he got all our family against us. He told everyone we wanted our mom to die, which of course is a HUGE lie. Everytime my mom asked us what we wanted we used to tell her we wanted her to get better. Is so sad that this situation is happening. Lucky that my relation with my sisters is great. I will pray for things to work in your dad's and your favor. Good luck.

Thank you Marie! It is an awful situation. My brother has gone nuts and I have no idea what he has told my father. He is living in my father's house and he and his wife won't let my father watch tv with them in the family room unless he is invited! I could go on and on, but you get the picture. I just hope my nerves hold out so I can get my points across to the judge.

Oh EEnsor- I feel terrible for you. I will pray for you extra!! That all this works out for you. Life is way toooo short to be going thru all this. Money could be such a hated evil, if you let it be and sounds like your brother went down that path. I have a similar issue with my brither but yet much different. My brother got into some gambling probs and had many issues with his wife and they got behind on many bills. To make a long novel short, my brother and hos wife demanded my father pay all their bills and bail them out. Well my father is very old school and believes everything happens for a reason and you should bail yourself out of trouble. Mind you though, there are many others issues as well. But now my brother and his phycho wife have banned him from their lives. To add to the money part, we had an uncle who passed and left us plenty of money and that wasn't good enough for him. So now my father has 3 grandkids he hasn't seen in almost 2 years and I have only been allowed to see them 2 times since then. Yes they were mad at me too for not giving them money. So sweetie- I will keep on praying for you that your brother will come to his senses and realize life is way too short!! Talk about dirty laundry?? hehe

Yes, true, but it makes me really happy and I have fun doing it and isn't that what life is supposed to about anyway?

Elizabeth, you and your family will be in our prayers. We also have a family "situation" [long and complicated] with my Mom who is 89! I lost my Dad 20 years ago and he was our family "glue" and I too was a Daddy's Girl, I miss him like it happened only yesterday! It's amazing how different siblings, raised in a great home with wonderful parents can turn into such monsters as adults! I pray that your "day in court" will resolve everything ... but one thing for certain, you can sleep at night knowing that you did what you could for your Dad's sake.

We're all right here for you praying for your strength to endure this impossible situation! Puppy kisses to little Lexy!!
