Truthfully, use your "size" as a guideline, not as a definate. If you use that as definate and don't try them on in the store, you'll be wasting gas going back and forth to return and buy new ones. Try on all your bras at the store, as annoying as it is, because it'll be worth it in the end. Sometimes you have to play with the sizes a little bit.

The middle part between the two cups should actually lay flat to your chest. If it doesn't, you either need a bigger cup size or a bigger bust size.

Well I just checked the Fredericks link and they don't have my size either. I might as well get out the band aids...lol
Hey Janet, this link has odd size bras & there reasonably priced, check it out

girl - the nicer department stores have clearance ALL The time for colors that are no longer in season etc and you can find really good deals - I was in bad need of a bra and thanks to this site decided to just go do it and spent 2 HOURS trying them on -

SIZES CHANGE with each MFG...what I found was just unreal - I think they're actually running smaller these days cause I had to buy a 38 DDD this time and I've never in my life been a triple D.

TRY THEM ON - get a saleswoman to help you ....and if you find a brand that works - just keep checking for Sales and they'll end up costing about 15 each or less....Walmart Bras SUCK - you really need to try the Mall or even Fredericks and VS.

EDITED TO ADD - I don't know if you have this store near you but I've had great luck with Dillards...Foleys/Macys are also good - and even JC Penny these days has a nice lingere section

Thank you so much. I like the looks of quite a few of them. I've got it bookmarked. I'll try one and if it fits good, order more. I would like to try it on first, but not many stores carry my size. This is great...thank you again!!!

Thanks V, I'm planning on going to a larger city near us today, maybe I can find something there. I really appreciate all the help. So many knowledgeable people on here.

Agreed - when I worked at Maidenform, a lot of ladies were to shy to ask for help, but believe me, if they work with bras, they've seen b**bs of all shapes and sizes and they will not care. I have so many Maidenform stories you wouldn't believe the things I saw... and man, some of the bra shopping women are the meanest! I've had bras thrown in my face, called stupid, theif and everything else... some how I still managed to smile and say "Have a nice day" and as they walk out I mumble "don't let the door hit you on the way out"

I used to have women walk out of the dressing room and into the store with nothing but a bra and panties on... and I'm like... "ummm... there... are.... cameras...." lol

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!! NO WAY !! They walk out into the store ?? No matter how good a bra looks on me I know I wouldn't be parading around the PUBLIC store in it ! and I've had some really pretty ones in my past LOL

That's awful about how customers act. When I was at Dillards last weekend the woman was so helpful ...but man - if they don't fit - they don't fit - it's NOT the salespersons fault WE dont know what size we are !

I think that must happen in all customer service jobs. Some people are just JERKS,,,then there are the dream customers like ME who thank them profusely for the help cause I sure needed it jumping sizes like I just did

and Janet - when you find a good one that really fits and is flattering - you'll never buy another walmart bra again. I admit to buying one or 2 way back when - they look great at first - then in 2 months lose all their function

jp4m2 - your post just reminded me of a friend who knew I had shopped last week for a new bra and he asked me..."So - Hows the new bra doing ?"

my answer just flew out - I said "Adjusting VERY WELL thank you !"
and it IS lol ....

you are so right - there's nothing like a nice NEW good fitting bra. It changes the look of everything you wear.

Any one in retail looooooooves the nice customers who thank them profusely. People just don't remember that the salespeople are people too with feelings and everything else. They make mistakes, they correct them. They have off days too. A customer that comes in smiley and nice will probably get a sales person more willing to help. I mean, as a salesperson, would you really want to go up to someone who you know is going to be mean? Or would you rather go up to someone that is friendly? But the same thing goes for the salesperson. A customer doesn't want to come up to a salesperson that isn't friendly. It works both ways. Truthfully, I worked at the same outlet mall for 4 years, but in 5 different stores and out of those stores the most crazy customers came into Maidenform and Eddie Bauer. I at least have the most stories from those two stores. Maidenform, the people were just mean a lot of the time. I had a woman flip out on my because I was trying to fix the check machine thingy and was mumbling to myself QUIETLY about how crappy that thing was... and she was stormed out of the store JUST AS I FIX IT screaming at the top of her lungs "You people are the most unprofessional people I have ever met in my entire life!!!!" A little dramatic? I think so. Eddie Bauer had crazy stalkers. I had some 30 year old man come in and kept asking me out... I was 17 and he knew it. One night he even waited outside for me to get off work when I was closing. Thankfully my friend covered for me and told him I was off that day. One girl was threatened to be killed because she did her job and the police had to escort her out and my best friend had a stalker that called her at work, on her cell, knew where she lived, sent her 2 dozen roses and a teddy bear, etc. He would call her at work and tell her how beautiful she was and how great she looked then describe exactly what she was wearing. It was creepy. Let's just say... I don't miss retail lol

LOL..Sometimes when the new bra has them all locked & loaded I almost feel like I had a boob job....I remember when my DD's husband went w/her to purchase a bra, he was helping pick one out but didn't know the size, but he commented that he knew it would fit perfectly on his head like a cap ..so in the store he kept putting them on his head....

I've had some of those cheap bras myself & after a couple of months all the elastic on the sides snap....it looks like there's spaghetti noodles hanging from under my arms

I'm a Victoria's Secret girl All my stuff comes from there. And the quality of bras that they have compared to something you buy at Walmart, doesn't even compare. My mom has bought cheap stuff for years. And I've bought her a few here and there at VS lingerie sales. For Mother's Day, I bought her a nice ipex underwire (like $50 and she's never spent that much on a bra, or probably anything else) And it's made such a difference. It fits nice, supports her well but she says "everyone keeps staring at my boobs".

Most of my bras last for years and are well worth the investment. And they make me feel better about myself. The real secret is you buy pretty underthings for yourself, not anyone else.

Oh my gosh, you had me totally cracking up girl! That is just too funny and yes - you are sooo right about having a new bra, lol Especially when you aren't exactly what they'd consider "small" in that area if you know what I mean

Try eBay for good bras at more reasonable prices. Of course, you can't try them on. I find a style and size that fits me nicely and then I look on eBay for a good price. At a 44D, those mamas deserve quality!
