| I am new here but I went to your website and was quite impressed. I actually felt guilty ordering stuff off ebay (even though I didnt even know YT existed!!!) I will be ordering from you and the future. Along with other YT members!!! No more ebay for me... just kidding... my children still need clothes!! Unless you all sell infant clothes too!! LOL!! Just ignore everyone else and continue making your great products!!! I look at quality of the product before the price!!! |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL !! revised to DeckedoutDoggie - http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80465 NO offense ...- and I really mean that - I just wanted to say this seems to be exactly what you just complained about -Please see above link ....only you were the one who did the post behind someone - I'm sure you didn't mean to... but - I think it's a slap in the longtime members faces to see all the new talent just jump in and sell. you have 19 posts and are complaining about people posting behind you ?? I don't follow that at all.... MUCH AS WE LOVE ALL YOU SEWERS....Don't get me wrong - I'm just being honest here ok ? But we have people who built relationships 1st and are sellers 2nd ....many of the sellers I love are the ones who post on the WHOLE site not just in the FOR SALE threads. That's what I was just talking about in my previous post. We have so many awesome sewers here.... but it will never get better if there aren't some rules set ...there's just too many people selling now and feelings are going to get hurt more and more. I wish everyone ALL The best with their stores - but do feel bad when I see some of the longtime members like Shana or Jodi & all the other sewers who have put a long time into this site getting ignored.

| Oh I hope you don't close down! I buy from you even if a deal is around the corner. I love the fact you ship quick and I love how you wrap each item like it's a present! I will stick with you as I place an order about every month and am due again in about week. Don't let others get you down.

| deckedoutdoggie said: I wouldn't want to be dealing with all the people trying to save their pennies, so cheer up and know that the right people are being drawn to your business I'm sure if i saved my "pennies" till i had $100 i could order from kathryn, she would be thrilled and take my order and pack it up beautifully and feel good about what she is doing ..."even dealing with a penny pincher"....so I will order from her in the future. i dont know if i took that the right way or not but everyone cant spend mad money all the time, that does not make us a bad buyer, one that you "shouldnt want to deal with"..... i use to spend all the time, since we bought this house, it has slowed down, huge morgage payment and things need to be fixed, i want a fence for my babies, a pool, etc...i want a nice yard, a place to hang out with my babies and skin kids, that takes money, so yes i will cut down other places that arent as needed right now. my babies have everything they need for now, so many clothes and toys etc.......that doesnt make me a bad buyer and one you shouldnt want to deal with.....sorry but that kinda irked me a little...................... hugs to kathryn stay open and enjoy yourself kathryn..your doing a great job!!

| I was referring to a comment someone made about trying to drum up business through a pity part. I don't even know how to comment about that. You know, I came from some of the yahoo groups. A member told me about this Yorkietalk and said that I could advertise my stuff here. I tried to introduce myself before I even put up an ad. I didn't get ONE reply. I posted another message about Lacy, my yorkie pup with pictures and still got no reply. If asked a monitor a question and never got a reply. I've tried to fit into conversations and just don't. Please don't mistake my statements of observation with seeking pity. I did not join the group JUST to try and sell my apparel. It was an interest most certainly. I'm just not a big socializer which is one of the main reasons I wanted a small business from home online. I'm sure whoever wrote that wasn't referring to me but I just wanted to give a different point of view. I did respond earlier to the original post but did not understand the entire situation. I'm not sure who you are talking about but I hope that I haven't stepped on anyone's toes. I only advertised here once but have to admit that there is a lot of competition. I still say that your customers obviously adore you and your products don't stop!!!! So sorry if my earlier message was a TAD off topic. Nikki

| NOOOOOOOOOOOO you took that right out of context. I ignorantly assumed she was talking about a HUGE discount online website that sells for 90% off. I saw back earlier, someone had just posted about 4 or 5 ads. It was a small business. right after these ads someone else had come along and posted an ad for 'blank' edge pet supplies. NOT is what I 'thought' was going on. I totally apologize!!!!!!!! OMG! SEE! AS I was saying earlier, 'I'm not a great socializer'. Open mouth to still other foot in.

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL That's quite ok - Stick around ....the site IS very nice and I'm sorry some of your posts weren't responded to. personally and after a long time being here - I TRY to go thru the 'low reply' threads and post to them but with a site this big it's easy to miss them.... and yes there IS alot of competition here - but that's where it's changed. It used to be about friendship ...not competition...but it has grown so much it really is competitive now and it's hard to know who is selling what. That's why I posted the way I did. Lots of our members/vendors who have been here a long time have poured alot of heart into this site. All it takes is interaction and don't give up - just post more !! |

I agree with you completely Villette! A new rule for admin to consider - a requirement of at least being a donating member before being allowed to sell. If the member is going to have a place to promote their goods and make money, then YorkieTalk should get something back. I don't buy much, but do prefer to deal with a donating member that is genuinely active in the other areas of the board.

| AGAIN, I am totally sorry. I get a link to a thread in my email. I see this thread and what I responded to was just THAT message. I am totally NEW here and don't realize that there are all kinds of other posts ahead. I MOST certainly have NEVER meant to step on anyone's feet. I don't even understand how I make comments once in a while and get criticized for them. I responded to a message that was send to my home email address and since I (at the time) did NOT see any other replies, thought I would tell her that I made tiny dog apparel. She showed me the apparel she got and told me that the seamstress would probably love to make my little girl a dress or two. How's that for a slap in the face? It LOOKED TO ME like the start of a new thread. I 'NOW' understand that there are other messages before. I have tried my best to fit in this group but it seems every post or comment I make, I get shot down. This certainly isn't worth it.

I agree. I have been keeping quiet, but now that things are moving in a positive direction, (THANKS V) I'd like to add my . I think in addition to being a donating member, you should have to have a minimum number of posts (say 500) and a minimum length of membership (6 months?). If you've hung around for 6 months discussing yorkies, people have gotten a bit of a feel for who you are, and I say sell away.Deckedoutdoggie, These comments are not directed at YOU specifically. I did a search and saw that yes, noone responded to your introductory post...many of us here try to catch those and respond, but yours just slipped through. Please don't take it personally. Quote:

The emails do have replies in them and I can see how you got confused. I'm off to go see your other posts but wanted to say - When I posted to you ....I had NO idea you were only seeing Email responses - you can get those turned off if you don't like them and the easy way to see the whole site is to click NEW POSTS at the top of the site on the blue bar....It's much better to read the site than the email notifications - that way you can see everyones posts.... | |
