| I was a Avon Lady for 3 years. If you Get out there and SELL SELL SELL You can make money It is not easy no brain Work Like I thought When I started. I didn't make money with it but I didn't put the effort into it. My advice is If you do it, Make sure you keep good records. Follow up with calls and Have fun. I think you will like it. Also becareful I bought Way more than I sold. If you have any ?'s just shoot me a PM. |

| i do currently sell avon and honestly it is more of a bill than profit i pass out book and such but i never really get call backs and the usuals order so often but their orders are only like 20 at the most and when i signed up they told me yeah you make 40% off everything but what they dont tell you is you have to sell x amount of products to get that if not you only get 20 % off and if its under 50 i think it is you get nothing off honestly if you can build up clientale then you can do ok but around here everyone either all ready has an avon lady or they only buy so much i try to have avon parties but there really isnt alot of stuff that they want the creams are nice though and i haev had slot of interest in the make up only some order the curves stuff but not often i only sell to buy what i want cause other than that i dont really do well but i work full time to and i dont keep a full supply and stock at home but im really not need to cause no one really asks so i dont know if you have tho motivation and tie than its good but for us its not easy working 40 and then working 40 avon to i just kinda have my same 4 customers and i just order from that

| I'm an Avon Lady Been selling for just over 2 years now. I got into it to make extra money. I don't work very hard at it tho. I have probably 15 customers who order regularly. Their program is tiered at percentages. 20% on up to 50% commission depending on how much you sell. If you want to make the big bucks, you really need to get into leadership. I decided after probably 6 months I wanted to do it for fun and my own personal discount. I make some extra cash here and there. I think it mostly pays for my own stuff. Hollar at me if you want to know more.

| Hi! I used to be an Avon lady but like everyone else got out of it because I was buying too many of the products!! I ended up making next to no profit - but got lots and lots of free Avon stuff! If you can control yourself and not spend, you can make money. No, there's no upfront costs other than the cost of the catalogues and your paper bags, invoices, etc. Only ends up being a few dollars every campaign. You collect everyone's orders, then submit it all at once. The money you charge the clients is more than what Avon will charge you when the package comes in - thus there's your profit. You have a few weeks to pay for the stuff they sent you so your clients pay your package and there is no fronting of costs. Your discount on the goods is deeper depending on how much you've sold that month. It's not a scam, don't worry about being taken in. Good luck! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i was thinking of being an Avon lady and went to talk to someone about it a few months ago. after speaking to her for about 30minutes i was very uncomfortable because she showed me a booklet and wanted me to do all this stuff and basically sign up right then and there. she said i'd have to do alot of selling and pushing to make a profit and you have to get sellers underneath you so that you can really make a profit. i don't think its that easy at all and opted out really quick.

| The start up is 10.00 and then you Sell the stuff. You collect money after you get the product. they bill you with the order. If you can deliver the products quickly you'll have the money for the bill. If not you have to pay it. You can do Prepurcase orders but make sure it is something you know you can sell or you are stuck with it or pay to have it sent back. They will offer a package deals.( Buy 5 and get something free type deal). I loved the Whats New. This is your demo book you can't order more than one of any one Item but you do get great deals on them you . You can sell keep or use as Demos. Hope that helps. |

Hi Tami, yeppers, I have been there and done that in selling Avon, many many years ago it was a lot of work, foot traffic going door to door canvasing (no way in the world would I do that today.) Far too much time was spent in connecting with those that ordered. It took a lot of time. I think today it is easier as it seems to be where one doesn't have to go out like that door to door canvasing, which definately is for the better in many ways. Good luck on what you decide to do. May I ask if you have any hobby or interest that you could start a business of your own? I would go for doing something on my own, so many things one can do to get one's own business up and going. This is just my opinion. Patti | |
