Thank you wemple and SBeckett for the acknowledgement and appreciation for our servicemen and women. They're not in it for the "glory" but it means a lot to hear it nonetheless. It's especially timely as my cousin just shipped out on Monday.

I just wish this stupid thing would end already!

I am a fourth grade teacher at a bilingual school in South Florida. I teach the spanish and math portion of the curriculum. I truly LOVE my job and I enjoy the childen. I am also a mom to two wonderful daughters 16 and 19 years old. My husband and I have been married for 21 years; he is the best he lets me have my three babies Tyler, Tiffany, and Chloe. He enjoys them almost as much as I do

I am a full time Operating Room nurse...but more importantly I am mother to a beautiful and kind (don't tell her) 17 year old and two darling furkids

I am a glorified babysitter of 475 kids, , secretary to the principal/assistant principal and teachers, public relations for the parents
which = office manager of an elementary school...I love it

...it has been my career for the past 19 years. Where else can you work 180 days a year and have summers off

Before that I was a stay at home mom raising my two children who are now adults and doing the bookkeeping for my husbands business.

Went thru a "trade" program.
I weld, work with robots, PLC programming, electrical work...........
I wear a hardhat and wear a toolbelt..... it's a man's job..but somebody has to do it!!

I was a 911 operator/dispatcher for the police department for 16 years. Now I am an administrative assistant for the Detective Division. I have been with the PD 26 years and wish I could afford to retire and stay home with my little Bella. They only way that will happen in the near future is if I win the lottery.

I am a Prekindergarten teacher at a public school in Tulsa. I teach 20 four year olds all day. Over half of them don't speak English and I don't speak Spanish so it does get tricky and exhausting sometimes.

I also am a mother to 3 girls, 4 yorkies, 1 golden retriever, 1 mutt rescued from the shelter, 3 rescued cats & I can't forget a lop eared bunny. The bunny is my classroom pet but, it's home now with the family for the summer.

I pack parachutes and Aviation Life Support Equipment for the Navy. I LOVE my job, just hate tip-toeing around everyone. Politics are no fun. OH,I am a mommy to 1 year old Kaylee (june 29) and 4 year old Emma (4th of July), Wife, and mommy of 3 furkids... Turbo (yorkie), Chance (retriever), Stinky (kitty).

That's awesome! Haha I spent 8 months in a hardhat and work boots, doing materials testing and inspections on construction sites! I definitely got a lot of looks, and you gotta develop a thick skin to be working in a guy's field like that!

Right now I'm a Civil Engineering Technologist... I sit in front of a computer all day doing drafting and design for a geotechnical engineering firm. Aaaaand reading YT
