Very Rude I just came back from the store doing a few chores for my mother and I met up with her co worker from work and she said knew me from somewhere and I said yeah I am Ardy's daughter Jhordan. She said Oh yeah you're the girl with the fuc*ed up name. I ignored that comment but when I got out of the store I was so angry. :mad: My name is spelled differently so what. My name Jordan but with a "h". Do you think she was very rude? |
Rude doesn't even begin! Ignorant people like that don't even deserve the energy it takes to get mad! I think you have a beautiful name, and I wouldn't pay her any attention. What a jerk! |
Well, some people just don't have good home training. That was very rude and you're more of a woman than me. I wouldn't just have ignored her. I'd said some choice words myself! |
I like your name - it's unique and your mom obviously wanted you to have a different name by adding the h.....I wouldn't worry about what people say - it was a rude way of putting it - but that's on her.... I totally understand - I have one of those names too.... |

Definitely rude & out of line. I *LOVE* your name, and the spelling is not weird to me at all...silent H is used frequently in the English language, so I don't see why anyone would see this as strange. BESIDES the fact that it's none of anyone's business how your mother chose to spell your name. Grrr...can you tell I get a little offed by people sometimes?? LOL |
I love your name! You can always spot a stupid person..they are the ones that have constant diarrhea of the mouth! We run into this a lot with my daughter, Lyric. Most annoying question:"Why did you name her THAT?" Stupid is as Stupid does! |

I think you have a lovely name, and the spelling makes you unique and rememberable. I have several friends who's names are spelled 'other than the norm' I have to try hard to remember how to spell them correctly, making it easier to remember their names. ;) |

Jhordan, I understand because I am a mom that loves to be diffrent with spellings. If some people have a problem with it, that is just it, their problem, not yours. I think t is a great name and prefer that type when compared to anything common. ( sorry f I offent anyone, I just do not care for names that come by the million, and prefer something with style) It shows your mom had greast personality I think and hope for you to not only be special, but felt she could help you to stand out and up so you will know you can do great things. Just ignor people like that and know your mother knew exaclty what she wanted for you and that is why she picked such a beatuiful name. |
Unbelievably Rude! She was such an idiot, what is it to her if your name is spelled uniquely. Is she jelous that she has some 'run of the mill' name. People like that talk out of their asses. It's just envy and plain old bullying that she is trying to use to make herself feel better. I understand having 'haters', some annonymous person comes onto my photo site and says stupid things to me almost daily she has even insulted my children. I just think if she's is bored enough to continue then she must be a fan of me to use up her time and think up fictional negative comments on so many occasions. No matter how nice we can be there will always be negative people out there trying to put us down. Just take the high road, and if she makes a comment again just slap her in the face with a smart remark . Don't waste your time with people like this they are not worthy of you presence. :) |
