Next time...tell her to go take a hike! Man...that makes me mad! My name has also a "h" that i have no clue where my mom got it from, same with my older brother (my name was picked to match his...hehehe) A lot lot of teachers would say that my name was spelled wrong, ha, and some could not figure out how to pronouce...did it bother me? In the begining, but we have to ignore these coments that are not constructive, i feel sorry for ignorant people like that...

Thanks everyone. :) And for Mojo's mommy, all my teachers pronounce my name wrong to like Ja-Hore-dan.

Wow people are so rude! I love your name anyway and I especially love the spelling, I think it makes it sound softer, its a beautiful name!

that is ridiculous! and very mean! .. i actually love your name.. my name is spelled with an H too... but usually when people spell it they leave it out :rolleyes: . Khristine isn't as unique as Jhordan.. but it's spelled different lol

she should go take a hike, she's probably just jealous :thumbdown

Jordan just happens to be my most favorate name!! I am planning on naming my first daughter Jordan... i think that the fact that you have an H in there makes it special and unique, just like you!! I'm sorry you had to be treated so poorly

I totally feel for you and can definitely empathize with you. I grew up with a name that was not only hard to read people but hard to pronounce. People made fun of it so much, I hated it and had everyone call me by my middle name which was so much easier (which I ended up legally changing to as my first name). I dreaded first day of school, because I knew my teachers would mess up my name. If they even stuck to the phonetical spelling they would have gotten it right or close. But even some of them would joke about it and make fun of it.

Don't let anyone make you mad or upset about their ignorance, feel sorry for them that they are so closed minded and dense that they will never "get it" that what they said is so stupid and nothing to offer but idiocy.

How rude, I too have on of those names nobody can seem to pronounce or spell. I learned a long time ago to ignore stupid people. Now I even have fun with them, it's funny to hear all the different ways its pronounced.

For her to say that to you, it seems she was intentionally trying to hurt you. Some people get a kick out of making other people's lives miserable and I bet you're not the only one she's talked rudely to. I'm proud of you...that you didn't stoop to her level! Good for you! Your name is beautiful...just as you are...inside and out!

She is probarbly very scared of things that are out of the ordinary or different. That makes her react that way.

How rude :mad: . I think its awesome to have a different spelling of a name. I think some people really dont realize they are being rude when they make assinine remarks like that.
