my mother in law bought a new computer for christmas and hers came with some program on it that you can use like colors and cover uo people and you can add things like her daughters pics she adds like princess crowns on their heads and stuff and so i asked her to tell me the name casue most new comps come with microsoft stuff on them but she said she didnt know
and i couldnt find any thing from them like that

can you guys refer me to a good one

i just want like cropping and like to add little swirls or stars into the photos and things like that

Adobe Photoshop is pricey and probably not worth it to anyone but a commercial artist or other professional. (I got a deal on mine.) There are lots of other cheaper applications out there that do what you want. The one I'm familiar with is Photoshop Elements. It's made by Adobe but much easier on the pocketbook.

Hopefully others will respond here with other suggestions. I'm not sure Elements is the best or the cheapest. Maybe others will have ideas.

i hope someone will come on and let us know what to use that isn't $300.00. i want to do funny and beautiful stuff w my pictures but don't want to spend a fortune on it.

You can find AWESOME deals on th photoshop program on ebay, especially older versions. If you are not a aspiring to be a graphic artist there really is no need for the brand new version, the old versions have everything you need to be able to do fun stuff! I have a fairly new version photoshop 8.0 (but its no longer the newest version) but I got it at a good deal from a graphic artist friend of mine.

now if i buy a used older version what should i make sure they include
like disc wise or instructions wise etc?

Thanks, my son is a wiz at photoshop and he has taught me a few tricks but there is so much to learn. He makes it look easy! I only know how to do this and colorize pics with the black and white and just a touch of color. I really think those look neat.
