Default Run's House episode "Give me strength

http://www.mtv.com/#/ontv/dyn/runs_house/series.jhtml
I remember finding out about the family's loss here on YT when I was about 8 months pregnant. I just watched this episode tonight and cried my eyes out. I am amazed at what a strong, wonderful family they are. Most people would not want to share such a personal event. But they are doing this to help others out. I love how they try to stay positive and are about to find laughter and know that everything will be ok. After this show I have a little more respect for MTV for producing a positive show. Bless their family and little Victoria.

You can watch the episode for free online by clicking the above link.

I agree with you. Their family is so sweet and close. I'll have to try to catch up on the latest episode.

I also when i saw last night's show my hubby kept waking up asking me if i was ok. Because i couldnt stop crying when her boys were told they were in like shock poor kids and family it's hard to loose someone in your family let alone a baby that has not even come into the world.

I will keep watching the show because although they always joke around there is always a good message in each one of their shows.

I was very saddened by what happened to this family but even more saddened that MTV and the family felt it was necessary to put something this personal on TV like it's entertainment. All involved should be ashamed of themselves for caring more about ratings and fame rather than personal family matters. It was very sad when it was in the news months ago.

actually i disagree,
first it was the families decision to put it on air and if you watched the episode they wrote a note before hand saying they chose to in order to help others out there who were dealing with similar circumstances
second this family is truly an example of how a family should function their attitudes and beliefs are a positive influence in the midst of all other trashy reality shows, it is a breath of fresh air.

It's ok we can disagree I just felt that putting it on the air isn't going to help other families, maybe joining support groups and such would be more helpful. I just think putting your personal life and the sad parts especially is not the best thing to put on television for all to see. Some things need to be handled privately as a family, and contrary to the popular believe that everything is entertaining and should be on tv, some things need to be dealt with just as a family, not as a nation. Just my opinion though.

They are very strong for going through it and I think Rev. Run is a good dad for teaching them all to keep living their lives and talking to them each after what happened.

Default To answer your question..

The show is about Reverend Run and his 5 children. He used to be a famous rapper. It is a reality show about their lives. They just happened to have been filming the show when they went through the loss of their baby. They decided as a family to show everyone what they went through so they can help others.

Good morning. I used to be afraid of death, but after losing my parents
and child, I've discovered that the fear of death was worse than death
itself.

Hey girl, I have got to say that I respectfully disagree. I lost my nephew before birth a couple of years ago and I had a really hard time with it like lots of other people do. I also had a cousin who's 2 year old died from a genetic disorder. I just couldn't understand why and how God could let children die. I think that naturally a lot of people want to blame someone or something when bad things happen.

But after watching this I see how a family uses their faith and each other to get through this. I envy that family so much. They have so much strength, especially the mother.

My friend's mother passed away a year ago and it has changed her so much. She hates the world and feels like it's not fair. She blames god. I know everyone grieves differently, but I feel bad that she's so negative and hurting so bad. I sent this link to her hoping that it can help her somehow.

As a reverend Run's life work is to show people the light. I don't think that he used his tragedy to exploit or make money. Run really wants to help people, he even emails people his words of wisdom every day. Through this show he is teaching me so much. My parents were never close to me, but Run talks to all of his children all the time. He is showing me how a family SHOULD operate. I want that kind of relationship with my family and with god. I think that if the show helps me, it can help others.

I also didn't want to bring their race into this, but they are an African American family. I am from a small town where the demographic is all pretty much the same so I have never had the opportunity to really know a family from another culture. I have so much respect for him because I can see what a great person his family is.

I think that his show is breaking through so many barriers. It was even featured on Oprah. I don't think that everything has to be behind closed doors, especially if it's something that can help others. He knows his family is strong and after this they can get past anything. I also think that since this happened 7 months ago, he is in a different stage of the grieving process. It also didn't just show the sad parts, it ended with them being able to laugh at a joke as a family and having hope and the mother was excited with the thought of adoption. This shows me that if they can get through that I can get through it too.
